Once, this was our go-to for pizza delivery here in Ocean Shores, but three less than savory orders over the past two months have me wondering what happened with the quality control. Less than two months ago we ordered a gluten free and a standard crust pizza, received them promptly, but the toppings were reversed. The following order, about two weeks later, arrived with the incorrect sauce on one of the pizzas and fully raw dough on the other. After deciding against the thicker crusts in the future, last evening we tried again, hoping the previous faulty orders had been flukes. But, the dough was again undercooked (even on the thin crust), and the toppings (outside of the cheese) were so sparse as to provide such minimal coverage that there was not even a full slice of the primary topping (Canadian bacon) to any single slice of pizza. The other pizza was missing the extra meat topping we paid for. Delivered pizza can be pricey these days, but in exchange for the cost, we once felt Pizza Factory offered optimal convenience and high quality for a hot meal - something to look forward to after a long day here. This convenience and historically the best pizza in town kept me from posting about these errors previously. However, given the recent history, we'll be donning our aprons and skipping pizza nights for a while. We may give Pizza Factory another shot, because it really has been the best pizza in town, but something is currently broken, and it needs...
Read moreJust got finished with the lunch buffet. The salad ingredients were nice and fresh, though some a little hard to reach, but my back is ailing greatly these days as it is. The pizza and it’s sauce were very good, indeed, and the bread was soft and pillowy. The cheese bread (I’m not sure if they call it that) was reminiscent of the white pizzas I used to get on the east coast and one of the best things on the buffet. It would have been nice to have a dessert pizza like apple or cherry or something of that nature, though the cinnamon bread was quite good. Nevertheless, all things considered, it’s a great deal and very well done. This was long overdue in Ocean Shores, especially since the Pizza Hut in Aberdeen said they were not going to bring back their lunch buffet after having had it closed for the pandemic (I’ve since never ordered from them). Pizza Factory even has soup on the buffet, but I forgot to try it — next time! Bravo and many thanks!
An addendum: It was so great to meet you on my second visit, Margaret! I’m also overjoyed that you put in gender neutral restrooms. I hadn’t noticed that until this visit, but that really needs to become the new gold standard for restaurants and other places of business. Thank you for being sensitive to...
Read moreIt is fine.
Service wasn't great, but not worth making a fuss. The red-headed cashier was not very kind or accurate but the rest of the staff were polite. The employee of the month had to approach us separately after ordering to add our name as the cashier had forgotten.
Looking at the receipt, she (RBF red head) rang up the wrong order ... so at least I was not incorrectly charged.
We ordered two items for carry out; medium BBQ Chicken Pizza + pineapple and cheesy garlic bread. We received the Western BBQ Pizza with added pineapple and garlic bread sans cheese. Did not realize the mix up until we had returned to our lodging and opened the boxes. Rather than make a whole thing of it, we just accepted what we got. My husband is not picky. I didn't really eat much.
Again, it was fine, but in the sense of "just ok." It isn't the best pizza of my life by any stretch, but I didn't like the heavy handed sauce application or unexpected toppings. The garlic bread was more like buttered toast with extra salt and parsley. Would definitely have benefitted from cheese and maybe some dipping marinara sauce(?). I can't say I will be making a return visit or would recommend it to anyone. Too expensive for the size and...
