5 stars for candy selection. 0 stars for customer service. I wanted small bags to put the diff flavors of taffy in because we have an autistic child who doesn't like things mixed up, I was told to just use one of their baskets so I used a basket for each flavor and made sure I was taking pics of the flavors, I turned around to find the employees laughing at me and making snide comments under their breath so I explained about my child and the one younger female tried to play it off as not laughing. From that moment on anything I wanted out of the jars my husband had to ask for because the 2 younger females were ignoring me. They bagged all the diff taffies in their own bag and didn't offer us a big bag to put the dozen or so smaller bags in. I made a comment to my husband on the way out about how rude they were and the older lady heard me but didn't offer a single apology or even say a word about it. Good candy or not I'll take my money...
Read moreWe always hit up the coast every summer for a family vacation. We tried out Ocean Shores this time and usually hit up a candy shop for the kids. While the selection is great the customer service is horrible. The staff didn't even say hello or give a welcome gesture to you once you enter and at the time we were the only guest in their store. It's a small shop and there are like 6 to 8 staff members behind this L shaped counter. So nauturally you would think customer service would be no problem but they just eerily stare at you like other reviewers have said. It just makes you feel really uncomfortable like they think you are going to rob their joint. The older man probably the owner I noticed kept looking at my young kids. It just came off they dont like kids in their candy store. Maybe a new line of business??As a family we been to a lot of coastal candy stores mainly in oregon and you feel welcomed without the stare downs. We wont be back...
Read moreThe store is closed to shop inside. Menu at the door doesn't let you look around. The coconut haystacks I bought taste like cheap almond bark. Very dissatisfied to have to pay for a minimum of 1/4 lb or more of a single type of chocolate candy. The salted caramel fudge was good in flavor but was dry and crumbly like it was old or not made well. It feels like they are another business using the excuse of Covid to overcharge just so they can stay afloat. The only reason I bought was to be a support of local mom and pop type business but I'd like to think if you had good products and let someone mix and match chocolates or don't have a minimum then we'd likely buy more. 2020 has been hard on peoples businesses but good customer service and quality needs to...
