Indian food is easily in my top favorite cuisines. It’s varied across the regions and different specialties shine across the country. But the thing that unites it is an intense and complex flavorful profile. HWY to India feels like what I’d imagine sharing a meal in someone’s home feels like. The atmosphere is extremely cozy. I got the Tomato Rasam because I’d been craving a soup. It was perfect. Tangy, bright, and bright. Then I tried the masala dosa. It was crispy, flavorful, and the chutneys were the perfect compliment. I heard while I was here they have thali as well and I wish I would have known! Oh well, I guess I just have to come back. No complaints from me there šŸ˜‚ They also can adjust the spice level to your taste. I got everything Indian spicy and it wasn’t overly spicy at all. Just enough to perfectly compliment the dish. All in all, eating here I could feel the love in every dish I tried. No notes. It’s worth the visit!

We walked into an experience of deliciously thoughtful flavours that sent us on our way happily! It was recommended that we stop to get food to eat from Highway to India Indian cuisine after visiting the beachšŸ–ļø. I am so glad because we were warmly welcome to sit wherever we wanted, and our waitstaff was professional, and knowledgeable about the options that would be suitable for someone who doesn’t eat gluten and dairy sensitive. He made recommendations with careful considerations of my limitations. I was thoroughly impressed by the food, service, the Indian music which infused the total ambience with authentic HWY TO INDIA šŸ‡®šŸ‡³ influence. This first time experience is what drove this five star review for HWY to India. Thank you for a wonderful meal and memories to match!šŸ’™šŸ«”šŸ«¶šŸ¼

A Journey Through South Indian Flavor – One Course at a Time Started with a bowl of Tomato Rasam, fiery and fragrant with dried chilies, cumin, and curry leaves—like sipping spice-laced comfort. Then dove into the main event: Chettinad Chicken Curry, rich with roasted spices and deep Southern soul. Paired with fluffy basmati rice and Malabar Paratha, flaky, buttery perfection layered like edible art (yes, I took a picture—look at those spirals!). Sweet finale? Gulab Jamun—two golden orbs of syrup-soaked joy. And to top it all off: a bold, creamy Madras Filter Coffee, frothed and poured just right. Every dish hit a different note—heat, spice, sweetness, and depth. A full South Indian experience I won’t forget.

My wife and I have lived in New York for 30 years and Arizona for 10 years, so we’ve had our fair share of amazing Indian food. Since moving to the Gulf Coast, we’ve been searching for a spot that rivals what we’ve experienced in those places. Highway to India in Ocean Springs exceeded all our expectations and could easily compete with the best restaurants we’ve visited in New York or Arizona.

Here’s what we tried: • Veggie Samosas: Crispy and flavorful—perfectly done. • Honey Cauliflower: We were looking for Gobi Manchurian and were told this was even better. They were right! •. Lemon Rice: A hit with our picky eaters. •. Vegetable Korma, Sag Paneer, Aloo Gobi, and Vegetable Vindaloo: The flavors were spot-on, and the vindaloo had just the right level of spice I love. •. Mango Lassi: Always a family favorite, and this one didn’t disappoint.

The food was fresh, perfectly spiced (customizable to suit everyone’s preferences), and the portions were generous. We left with leftovers, which was a bonus.

The service stood out as much as the food. The person who served us was also one of the chefs. He took the time to customize spice levels to suit my wife and daughter’s tastes while ensuring I got the heat I wanted. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive.

The ambiance was clean and inviting—a great place for both families and couples. We’re already planning to return for a date night (without the kids!).

If you’re vegan or vegetarian, you’ll have plenty of options. I highly recommend the Veggie Samosas and Honey Cauliflower for first-time visitors.

Highway to India is reasonably priced, especially given the exceptional quality of the food and service. We’ve found our go-to Indian spot on the Gulf Coast. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic, delicious...

Tried this place based off FB recommendations and what a delight. We enjoyed every dish we ordered. I'd have to say it was the best Indian food I've had, and I usually try it when I visit big cities. I had a feeling it would be good from the smells in the parking lot. We arrived when they reopened for dinner at 4:30pm and the Chef greeted us and gave recommendations. Wanting to gage the food by seeing how well they made our favorites, we didn't go with his rec's but I promise to return to try what he suggested. Everything was so flavorful and balanced. The textures were on point. I could've drank the green chutney dipping sauce that came with most things. If you love rice, the lemon rice is lemony with little spice bits, texture like rice pilaf. It came with our dishes. The Naan is separate but he has several flavors to choose from. We got the garlic Naan that served as a nice eating vessel for my lamb kebab. Do not prejudge based on the budget decor because the food quality, friendly service, and fair prices make up for fancy esthetics! I WILL be back very soon, and on a...

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had! I recently visited Highway to India, and I was blown away by both the food and the service. I ordered the Masala Dosa and Chole Bhature, and honestly, every bite was bursting with authentic flavor. The dishes were perfectly spiced, fresh, and made with so much care—it truly reminded me of home.

The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. I was so impressed that I couldn’t resist packing some food to take home.

It’s rare to find a place where you get both amazing food and such thoughtful service. This is a small business that absolutely deserves our support. I highly recommend this gem to anyone who loves delicious Indian food. If you’re a foodie or someone who loves exploring new and flavorful dishes, you have to check this place out. I highly recommend visiting Highway to India and experiencing it for yourself .Can’t wait to go...
