Hoagitos — Restaurant in Ocean Township

If I could give this place a 10 stars, I definitely would do it in a heartbeat. My family and I stumbled upon this place while visiting the area and after reading all of the wonderful reviews. We decided to give it a try. The food was indeed DELICIOUS! We ordered the Forbidden chicken sandwich and the Chicken Vodka Parm along with an order of their fresh cut fries. Everything was tasty, fresh and so yummy. After eating our food, we decided to buy two additional sandwiches to bring home and these sandwiches were also very tasty. The two to go sandwiches we got were the Asian BBQ Sando and the Nashville Hot. We also tasted their salted chocolate chip cookies and these cookies were indeed the best chocolate chip cookies that we have ever tasted. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I've gotten food from here twice now and both times it was excellent. The first time I came I got the Southern Comfort fried chicken sandwich. The chicken was perfect, the mac and cheese super creamy, and the sauce was an excellent counterpoint, I just wish there had been more of it. The second time I came I got the Forbidden Chicken, which was just the right level of spiciness.

The first time I came I got take out. The second time I decided to eat in the restaurant. It's small, but clean and comfortable. I was the only one there and the music was a bit loud and the workers were very loud talking in the back. I've worked in restaurants before, so I know how it is. It's just not the kind of atmosphere I want when I'm eating.

To start off, I enjoying buying sandwiches from Hoagitos and the people there are nice. BUT today my experience was not enjoyable or pleasant. I paid $40 with tax for 2 Turkinator sandwiches. Most, if not all of their sandwiches in their menu are under $10, why is the Turkinator $20 with tax???????? I did not want to be rude and just leave the food at the counter after ordering so I just paid for it and took it. I was not happy paying that price for a sandwich that was not that big. Yes the Turkinator taste good but it should NOT COST THAT MUCH MONEY. I believe that the Turkinator is not worth my $20. If you don’t believe me, go ahead and try it...
