Outback Steakhouse — Restaurant in Ocean Township

This restaurant is so beautiful and magical. It makes me feel like my mother and I are traveling to another country we have never been before. I love the theme and the atmosphere of this restaurant. It feels like we are in Australia. I also love the service. Our waitor, Jesus is super nice and friendly. He makes us feel like we are part of the family. Other waiters and waitresses make us feel like we are part of the family too. The manager, Amber is also nice and friendly. She surprise my mom her favorite drink, the pina colada. My mom didn’t expect that they can make it because they told her they couldn’t make her favorite drink she ordered. My mom was so happy and satisfied that Amber did give her pina colada. The food we ordered: the Bloomin onions, the Bloomin burger, Caesar salad, and the filet mignon with lobster is so good. Another food we love is the bread. I love the texture of the bread they gave us and it is soft. I also love the food we ordered. It is cooked to a perfection. I recommend everyone to come and eat this restaurant. My husband called ahead about 4:30pm for a 6:30pm reservation. They took his name and phone number. We arrived at 6:25 and they had no record of the reservation. We asked to speak to the manager. The bar manager Mike came out to say they don't take reservations but you can add your name to a wait list but no guarantees. My husband explained that he wasn't told that over the phone. I verified the number and showed Mike the call history but he didn't offer any solutions and remained matter of fact. We had to wait. We were finally seated about 7:30. 2 Martinis at $25,00, later. Very kind and attentive bartenders. My steak came out medium well rather than medium rare. Thankfully, kind waiter Sam advocated on my behalf and the very kind kitchen manager ordered me another steak which was cooked perfectly and delicious. My husband ordered the filet and lobster tail. As I begin to write this review, my party has been waiting for our dinner for one and a half hours! So far we’ve only been served our drinks and bread. We came to Outback because we saw their commercial promoting their “Ausie Ausie Ausie” $14.99 special. We were given menus that did not display for us the special options, hence, we had to search for them on the website. The items that you are allowed to choose from are dependent on the location and the items are very limited. We actually felt bad about our server who was very apologetic and friendly. Many times incorrect food dishes arrived at our table that were meant for other tables. At no time did a manager approach our table to discern whether everything was OK. We ate after two hours and the only saving grace was that our food was delicious.
