Bound Coffee Company — Restaurant in Oceanside

First off the sourdough bagels are so good! And if I was just rating that 5 stars all the way so fresh and chewy. Unfortunately I had to drop my rating to 2 stars due to the customer service and coffee. I was considering giving Bound another try but after reading other reviews about the customer service and the responses from the owner honestly this issue just doesn't seem important to them and there are plenty of other amazing coffee shops that treat their customers better and have great coffee!. The salted caramel latte i ordered hot was Luke warm at best, and the flavor was just average. The lady taking my order just seemed cold and turned away to do something else before I finished paying, turned back around and just stared at me and said "can I help you?" I was just confused because no receipt was offered or anything so I asked if that was all and she rudely replied "yes you can wait over there." Just seemed very cold. I saw two other customers who got their orders messed up and were clearly upset and the employees just really don't seem to care. Its unfortunate as you can find good coffee and even food elsewhere (lots of options in oceanside alone) but the service you give is really gonna make...

This is a very nice coffee shop and cafe. I visited for a while and enjoyed a cortado and scone. The cortado was properly made and served with some carbonated water as tradition dictates.

The cortado was smooth and rich, but did have a little sourness towards the end. The scone was great! I really enjoyed its texture and flavor. I came with cranberries and some other type of currants that I could not figure but were tasty. The scone had a great crust on its exterior and was very soft on the inside. It was not as dense as typical English scone, but was delicious. I do recommend that they mix the mixture a little more because I did get a few heavy pockets of baking soda.

The service was friendly at the counter. They had a good sense of humor. They breakfast as well. Seating is available inside...

I need to go grocery shopping… but since I haven’t, here we go in search of a new breakfast place & found Bound Coffee in O’Side.

My hubby ordered a Filter Brew = happy w/coffee. I had a Matcha Latte. There was no sweetness to the flavor, so I asked. (Note: Taste before leaving.) They said they could add vanilla or honey. I opted for a bit of vanilla sweetener & it was much better.

We also ordered to-go an avocado toast and a breakfast burrito. The burrito was a little spicy but had great flavor. The avocado toast was well blended with flavor. There was avocado, cilantro, light salt & pepper, chives, and I think bits of pickled red bell pepper.

Lovely little spot with great coffee & breakfast. We will be back :D
