6-16-20 finally Went out to get food due to COVID-19 when I was in line a girl that made a phone order asked for carrots the lady rudely said we charge for those now. The lady already paid for her meal so I told the lady behind the counter I will pay for her carrots. The lady walked out and came back in and said I didn’t get any carrots I told the lady behind the counter I said I would pay for those I was next in line. I ordered my food I ordered two orders of carrots and a simple order California burrito sour cream guacamole cheese no pico. While waiting for my food I saw a homeless man looking at the menu to see what he can afford I told him to order whatever you want He ordered my food came up so I handed him a 20 and said pay for your order and keep the change. I drove away looked in my bag and there were no carrots in there so I turned around went inside and asked for my carrots they gave them to me. Then when I got home to enjoy my first burrito in months there was no sour cream on either one of the two burritos my wife and I were so upset. Something that little could ruin our dinner I tried calling them to let them know and they are not even answering their phone I called four times in 15 minutes and it rang and rang and rang and rang. This was a reputable place and now they care nothing about the people. I didn’t even mind their sign that was hand written that said Kearny Asada Carnitas out about it and shrimp prices have gone up due to coven which in my opinion is Wrong but I had no issue paying for a good burrito but that is not what I got shame on this taco shop. Awesome burritos and flavorful salsa.I ordered a California with pollo asado, and they nailed it. Fluffy tortilla, melted cheese, fluffy fries, perfectly grilled pollo, served rapidly and warm, wrapped correctly so nothing falls out. they ask if you want everything on it - pico and guac. Got the green salsa, wasnt too hot but had a very savory flavor. They even have grilled yellow Chiles at the salsa bar, which are quite nice and I've never seen that before. Friendly customers.

their napkins are at the front counter which can be a little cumbersome during busy hours, luckily you don't really need them because the food isn't dripping like some restaurants. Whoever is in the back hasn't stopped intermittently banging what sounds like Tupperware for the 30 minutes I was there, but I guess that brings the nostalgia of a real Mexican restaurant. No music except what they play for themselves

I've heard their customer service is lacking on the bookends of their business hours, but busy times like lunch they are great and authentic.

I just had the most disgusting burrito I have ever had. I couldn't even eat it, I threw it out. I normally do not post negative reviews, however, Jose's needs to know canned corn, hard carrots, hard celery, and two black and slimy things- maybe mushroom, DO NOT go together. The overabundance of sour cream to try to hide what was in the tortilla just made it worse. That is definitely not the combination people are expecting or looking for when they order a veggie burrito. It's just gross! I get the misunderstanding, they are going for "vegetable" burrito and made a bad choice of vegetables, and I was thinking like every other taco shop, beans, rice, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, grilled bell peppers and a little cheese. Apparently, if you are a meat eater, the other items may not be bad- However, that veggie burrito will forever be remembered as the worst thing I have ever been served in an eating establishment. ...
