I was attending a cake decorating class that another business held here. I had been in this plaza before, but didn't know there was a coffee shop (and more). They are tucked away a bit, but that gives them a beautiful view of the pond out front.
I had a drink during my class and then took my food to go. The walnut pancakes were delicious and I loved that they had a unique variety you don't really see elsewhere. I had a side of eggs and bacon as well and both were good. I should have grabbed a picture, because they make very picture perfect fried eggs, lol!
I had an iced buckeye shaken espresso during my class. This was fantastic! Being from Ohio, I loved seeing a buckeye coffee drink on the menu. Peanut butter and chocolate just really hits. They also added caramel drizzle and a bit of cinnamon which I almost ordered without - but it really enhanced the drink, so I'm glad I tried it their way.
Other people in the class were saying how good the chicken sandwich was and I see reviews about this being a pleasant spot to work. So, I look forward to stopping in again to...
Read moreI finally had the opportunity to try out Island Touch the other day, and I will be going there often. Their location in the retail park is a bit remote, so you do have to look for them a bit, but then you are rewarded with an attractive cafe, super friendly service, good food and drinks, and a nice view over the pond. You can sit inside or out on their large patio. When I went, the owners gave me a full run-down of what they serve, including food with very generous portions and also alcoholic beverages. I had a Spanish latte and my daughter had iced mocha, both very well made. She also had a cheese, egg, and bacon sandwich on a croissant. The food was made to order and quite good. The owners said that they also provide space for events there. I urge folks in the area to make the effort to find this place. You...
Read moreFirst impression? 10/10 without a doubt! Dalia was super welcoming, down-to-earth, and knew the menu like the back of her hand—she even asked about our preferences to give thoughtful suggestions. We felt totally at ease while setting up our work stations and didn’t wait long at all for our food. The matcha with strawberry? Creamy, smooth, and so good. The “CJ” sandwich hit the spot—definitely made with love. Everyone at the table was vibing with their picks: the rasta toast, salmon salad, turkey club, and guava mimosa were all flavorful and fresh. Safe to say this spot is officially on our list as a spot to revisit. Whether you’re pulling up for brunch, smoothies, or a lil’ coffee infused with SHOTS SHOTS SHOTS (yes liquor)—it’s a whole vibe. We’ll...
