Love this place. Prices are great and more than standard movie food fare. Staff is very friendly. Amazing rapid turnover of movie selection.
The down side are the customers. They (mostly folks over 30) are on their mobile phones through out the movie (and there are no reminders, nor staff asking for this rude behavior to stop) and it is distracting since the theaters are not stadium seating, but standard auditorium seating, where you can see everyone's heads and phones. I am over 6 feet and unfortunately see all of them. Also, these majority white folks feel so privileged, that most leave their discarded trash on the seats and floor of the theater, making walking out a challenge, attempting to navigate food trays, glass beer glasses, and soiled food containers.
An army of staff swarm after the movies and clean this unnecessary mess after each movie. (They are amazing). Most of the staff are in their teens and very polite, but the theater needs an adult manager onsite, theaters need patrolled, announcements need to be part of the previews to not use mobile phones, and to deposit trash in the many appropriate containers.
I find myself going to the West Oaks AMC with stadium seating. Thus not noticing the majority of phone usage.
Notice to the owner, please put some effort in remedying these issues. When I moved here I felt like this theater and concept was a welcome, very much like my former 90 year old neighbor theater and like to give my money to any locally owned business. I learned more about the area with your ads before the previews. I am a customer of Wheel Works (great customer service) and Ellie Lou's BBQ (real smoked BBQ and I cannot live without) Love the new coffee shop options, too. Please maintain...
Read moreLove this theater!!! Came out for a girls night out and it was my first time here. We chose this theater because they serve wine. This is a small theater and it made such a big impact on our night out. Beginning with tickets... easy and very reasonable. We came out on a Monday night so it was not busy. I am not from the area so I am not familiar and was kind of hesitant parking in the back, but it was well lit. Snacks: First thing I noticed, the price. Amazing deals. I ordered a chardonnay and nachos. I paid UNDER $10. It was an amazing glass of chardonnay. The nachos were not salty and the cheese stayed overly warm for over 15 minutes. The jalapenos, crisp and fresh. What is it about movie theater jalapenos???? I asked for more. The theater was spacious and you did not feel crowded. It was super clean. They had seating with tables closer up front. Sound was on point and seats were soooo spaced apart. I got up twice and didn't feel like I had to climb over anyone. Bathrooms were small but clean. I am from the MCO area and would gladly drive over here for another great experience. I am almost jealous Ocoee has this hidden gem. I have a movie theater close by with reclining seats, but would gladly come back here anytime. Why? It's a great family, small business vibe, booming technology, spacious and clean seating, delicious, fresh snacks, amazing wine and the best part... very reasonably priced. Keep up...
Read moreVery pleasantly surprised with this place. They have construction going on currently so you have to go through a fairly dirty area to get to the ticket counter. Tickets are cheap (5.50 for a matinee). I got there about 5 minutes before my show started and got tickets and was in a comfortable reclining chair with 2 minutes to spare before the previews started. There is tons of leg room here and half of each theater is on flat ground with tables. The rest is like a normal theater with the levels going up about 10 levels or so. They have burgers and all sorts of food, beer, wine coolers, and the normal cinema fare like popcorn, soda, and candy.
It looks like a dump from the outside, especially with the construction, and I expected it to be sticky and smell bad, but it was clean and had no discernable odor. The screen was in good shape, the picture was clear, and the sound was spot on. The pre-preview stuff they were projecting was woefully out of date, advertising for movies that were going to be in the theater in October (almost three months ago) but that was pretty minor. Parking was fine for me, but the lot seemed very small and I expect parking is really bad during big opening weekends.
I will definitely be using this theater when there are movies out worth going to a...
