We moved to this side of town about a month ago and I was super excited to find this restaurant within walking distance. It's a good thing I have to let my broken foot heal longer before I can walk to it every day cause I'm gonna go broke when I'm all better. We've ordered to-go 3 times already as it is.
The wing options are solid, the burgers are juicy and have a great grill flavor, the gyro and soft pita taste fresh instead of stale from sitting in a freezer for months, and all the portions are plenty. Great menu variety shows off the versatility of their core offerings. Can't be mad at the prices, either, they're all fair and I feel on the lower end of average for other spots like this one.
What really wins it for me is how clean the place is -- I've had to clean restaurants from top to bottom in my food service years before and I know all the secrets. I can tell they're soaking the soda nozzles and cleaning the gaskets properly, changing fry grease regularly, and maintaining good inventory rotation standards with service stock and foodstuffs alike. The doors and windows, and the partitions by the register and all around the stainless steel appliances, are never smeared with greasy fingerprints and food smudges. Attention to the details like that is how you run a food biz with consistency and quality!
Jan 27 2025 update: this is still one of my favorite local spots to treat myself to! Everything I've loved about this place remains true and I love everything I order from here whether I try something new or stick with my usuals. Truly fresh and always made to order, with quality ingredients and generous portion sizes -- and fair prices, too. Love being a...
Read moreI was eager to try this restaurant after seeing it on TikTok, but my experience was far from what I expected. Upon arriving, I was with my emotional support animal (ESA), and I was informed that they could not be in the store, which was completely understandable. I always bring them with me and never face issues because they are well-behaved, so I appreciated the clarity on their policy. However, what followed was disappointing. I wasn’t greeted when I entered the establishment, not even a simple "hello" or acknowledgment. After I placed my order and was getting my condiments, a family came in (who appeared to share the same racial background as the owner), and they were immediately greeted warmly. The owner even went out of his way to ask if it was their first time and explained the menu in detail. I couldn’t help but feel that there was a stark contrast in how I was treated compared to them. It made me question why I wasn't extended the same level of courtesy and attention.
As for the food, the Philly cheesesteak I ordered was disappointing—the bread was super soggy, and the fries tasted stale. While I did consider returning for a refund, I ultimately decided against it to save my time and gas. Instead, I gave the food to my ESA, who thinks everything is good, so at least someone got their moneys worth.
While I understand that mistakes can happen in the kitchen, the overall lack of service made it difficult to overlook. I definitely would not return based on my experience. Service is key to any dining experience, and it’s important to make all customers feel welcome and valued, regardless of...
Read moreThis place is the real deal, with amazing food and phenomenal customer service. It was our first night in Orlando and I knew I wanted to come to this restaurant, but realized it closed at 9PM and we wouldn't have reached the restaurant until 9. When I called, I spoke with Marco who told us that he would wait until we got there and prepare the food beforehand. I hesitated because I felt bad making him stay open later, but he insisted. They didn't have a menu online, so he texted me photos of the menu so we could order beforehand. So kind that him and his team waited to not only to finish the order for our party, but also so that we could dine in.
We ordered the cheeseburger, a chicken and sheesh rice platter, the chicken tenders, and a grilled chicken sandwich. All of the food was delicious. The cheeseburger was thick and juicy, and the pink sauce is great. The rice platter was also delicious, but imo a little overpriced at $15. But the price of the sandwiches made up for it, at only $5! It was a great portion of food too. Also, ask for the hot sauce! It went so well with the rice platter.
Overall, I had a great experience here all thanks to Marco and his team for staying open late for literally just one family. Some of the best customer service I've experienced. It's a bit out of the way if you're visiting near the parks, but well worth it for some solid halal food. I'll definitely be returning to...
