Casa Campo Azul - what a hidden treasure! While we were travelling from Dallas back home to New Mexico, we decided to let Google reviews be our guide; we're glad we did.

My shrimp fajita was served sizzling and delicious, with generous portions of "fajita salad" (well flavored refried beans, rice, with guacamole and sour cream on a bed of fresh shredded lettuce). My husband judges Mexican restaurants by their refried beans and Chile relleno. He gave his dinner a five star rating, too.

The restaurant is just far enough from the freeway for us to know they depend on repeat customers for their success (they're about 1.7 miles north of I-20).

The background music was just that - in the background - so we could carry on our conversations in a pleasant atmosphere. It was a pleasure to be served by Abel. He was attentive, without "hovering."

Just wasn't a fan of this place. I'm a salsa girl and their salsa was definitely lacking flavor and spice. I was the only table in there on a Saturday night at 7. The young lady serving me couldn't understand one bit of English. I had to ask for water three times. I asked about several menu items and she couldn't tell me anything. My charro beans tasted dirty. Continues to be one of my favorite local places. Cozy, Private clean not to mention everything I have tried has been a 8-10 the drinks are stout they don't hold back on the liqure. The service is excellent and very respectful! I come here quite often I guess until it get found by everyone and I can't get a set. For the chips and Salas they give totopos (chips) and chicharrones. Of all the Mexican restuants here I will put this one...
