Casa Campo Azul - what a hidden treasure! While we were travelling from Dallas back home to New Mexico, we decided to let Google reviews be our guide; we're glad we did.
My shrimp fajita was served sizzling and delicious, with generous portions of "fajita salad" (well flavored refried beans, rice, with guacamole and sour cream on a bed of fresh shredded lettuce). My husband judges Mexican restaurants by their refried beans and Chile relleno. He gave his dinner a five star rating, too.
The restaurant is just far enough from the freeway for us to know they depend on repeat customers for their success (they're about 1.7 miles north of I-20).
The background music was just that - in the background - so we could carry on our conversations in a pleasant atmosphere. It was a pleasure to be served by Abel. He was attentive, without "hovering."
