International Beer Garten — Restaurant in Odessa

Ladies! Ever hear those stores about bartenders who you can go to when you need help? Yeah! Not the case here. My girlfriend and I decided to get a quick drink together and quietly grabbed two bar stools at the corner of the bar so we could chat. Bar was pretty empty and thought it would be a good time to catch up. Not long after getting there two guys sat next to us an instantly tried to ensue us in conversation. We made it clear that we didn’t want to chat. They became persistent. I tried to engage the bartender to ask for help. After several attempts the bartender looked at me and stated “you ladies don’t look like you’re in distress so figure it out. What do you want me to do for you?”

But reality was, we were uncomfortable, tried to end it and were looking for help.

For some one who has been a patron to the bar for over four year, this was not only disappointing, but a true lack of consideration for someone who was asking for help.

At that point, I whipped around and told both men to knock it off, paid the bill and we left because we weren’t comfortable.

Reality…a lot of turnover, not the same place it use to be.

I never complain, but this was so profound to me, felt it was worth a warning.

Hope they get their stuff together before they ultimately fail. Disappointed my multiple requests for help were...

Met friends here on a Saturday evening around 6 pm. the place was pretty much empty and the people in the restaurant seemed mostly to be employees. You might think with all those people standing around that the service would be outstanding....Nope. Our waitress was nice enough but not at all attentive. We ordered beer and a sausage and cheese try to tide us over until we ordered some dinner. The $15 dollar sausage and cheese plate was ridiculous. Not only was it 4 pieces of 3 different types of cheese and two different types of cold cuts, which for $15 dollars is a total rip off but even more offensively the way it was presented was terrible. whoever prepared this, it honestly looked as if they have never held a knife in their hand before. All the meat and cheese was cut into huge chunks and yet each a different size. This was then served with stale and broken water crackers and two mustard that were supposed to be different, but seemed exactly the same. My friends and I were all disappointed with the service and food and decided there was no way we would be ordering dinner. luckily there was a restaurant called Glory Days right there...

Wow what a huge disappointment! We were here Friday March 10th 2023 and we arrived to sit at the bar. The bar is soaked with water and so are the seats. It took 10 minutes to wave down the waitress to look up at us so we could ask for a towel to dry off everything. Ridiculous. And that theme carried on throughout the night three bartenders with their heads down. Should have brought a trumpet to get their attention. Once they get on the register they have no idea That customers are waving them down. Once you get service, they are annoyed! The redberry Martini was not constructed well at all! Has any of these bartenders ever went to bartending school We don't think so. They have a morning shot that they advertise at the bar We had to tell the bartender how to make it! Not acceptable! Everything we asked for was a chore. Two stars because the seats were comfortable and the atmosphere is pretty good along with the music however the service is awful unacceptable there's no manager here. You can't charge premium prices for drinks and make watery subpar drinks that are...
