Saucedo Tamale Factory — Restaurant in Odessa

This was my first time eating here and had very high expectations of this restaurant. First of all this is a quick eat and go kind of place. You approach the front counter to order your food and they'll bring it out to you on a tray. You choose where to sit. Also the enviroment is clean and simple. Not too fancy and extravagant. Now here comes the food criticism. I ordered half a dozen of tamales and a chili verde burrito. To add the food came out pretty quick but during this time it was slow. I was hoping for a order of tamales to come out wrapped in a bundle on a platter however they were wrapped in butcher paper greasy as can be. When I opened them I was presented with soggy tamales that didn't even looked like tamales. Very disappointed at this point, the taste of these tamales were very bland and pretty much just masa. I moved on to my burrito which was ok and the tortilla tasted homemade with out the preservative taste. So the reason I am giving three stars and not two is the place was clean and the burrito was decent. I had to attach photos. I've NEVER had to leave a review like this, I am nauseous and disgusted. After my family purchased 5 hot dozen tamales and waited over an hour only to be forgotten and then having to remind the employees we had purchased food there I found this, a grub tucked and squished in between my masa and meat of a tamale. They threw away our receipts when we reminded them that they had forgotten our orders. So I will be updating if we even get a refund for the well over 50$ we spent there.

UPDATE: Because they threw away our receipts we never received our 50$ refund Mind you we paid more than 200$ on other food items but only requested the tamales to be refunded. That kind of customer service is unacceptable from any kind of business.

I usually stop here on my way home from work my first few times here were great. enjoyed the food they had to offer. The two latest time I visited they forgot one of my burritos (chicken with green sauce) they have me the run around when I asked for a refund and said I could come back the next day to get my burrito. Upon opening the burrito I did receive I found a hair In the wrapper. Which I excused since I hadn’t had any bad experiences and accidents happen. When I arrived the next day to pick up my credited food I purchased one more burrito togo. I was disappointed to have received the incorrect order, again.
