House of China — Restaurant in Ohio

This was a one and done for us. I had surgery early that day so takeout was my choice for dinner. I ordered several items online but when my husband arrived to pick it up they had no record of my order. He called me and I looked it up and sure enough it showed up online. They fussed about it, but made the order. However, I ordered a beef and a chicken meal and neither of them had any vegetables other than a huge pile of slimy onions and a few pieces of cabbage . No broccoli, snow peas, carrots, nothing. And we only got one container of rice, not one for each meal. The fried dumplings and sauce were the only saving grace-- they were delicious. Egg drop soup was ok. We have another Asian place that we love and is closer to us but it is closed on Mondays -- the day of my surgery. We'll never order from House of...

Food is always fresh and taste great. My wife and I can eat for $20.00 and the service is good.

Edit:09/08/2019 My wife and I have been eating here for years. The previous manager/owner Cindy always had great food with fair prices and large portions.

Since the new management team has taken over I've noticed the recipes change depending on who happens to be cooking, and one of the cooks is not very good. I've always ordered a large Wonton soup to go and it's always full of noodles. I recently ordered two carry out dinners with my normal large soup and crab wontons. I got home and pulled out the soup, 4 wontons in the bottom of a quart cup filled with broth is now a large.

Hard to find a good chinese food delivery when you move to a new area. But so happy that I found one on my first try. The wonton soup had the right spices and sesame oil. The crab ragoons was more than just cream cheese. It had lots of krab in it. The fried wontons had a very good crunch to them with a good sized piece of pork. I got a combination plate with shrimp and chinese vegetables. Shrimps were big sized shrimp. The vegetables were perfect and the sauce was on point. Best yet was the pork fried rice. seasoned excelently. No carrots and peas! Thank God. I hate carrots and peas in my fried rice. They delivered in about 30 minutes after I ordered online.
