I’m gonna be honest, everything in me wants to give this one star review, but sometimes the food is slightly better than one star, and the place itself is decently clean, especially compared to some McDonald’s I’ve been to. If you go in the morning for breakfast, you’ll probably have a much better experience at this McDonald’s. That seems to be when they got it all together but if you go at night or even in the evening like I did, oh my goodness be prepared to wait nonsensical times. The last few times that I’ve been to this McDonald’s I found myself waiting at a minimum of 15 minutes with one time closer to 30 minutes. To me that’s insane. Don’t get me wrong, I want to be incredibly understanding to the workers, whether they are shortstaffed, people are taking breaks, or they’re really busy at the moment, but at least today I was watching their drive-thru screens from the inside, & they only had two people in their drive-thru. I’m standing at the front counter, waiting for employee to at least ask me what my order was but instead I’d only get occasional glances from the workers in the back with no communication whatsoever. Even the manager (I’m assuming given what he was wearing) would look at me multiple times from the back & just continue doing his own thing. Then finally when my order was ready, he just walked out dropped it on the counter said no words to me, no eye contact, & just walked away. That’s from the manager too. I feel management is supposed to represent what an employee of McDonald’s looks like in the best light, but that customer service was atrocious. I would let it go if it was just a bad night, but this is now the third or fourth time that I’ve come into this McDonald’s & this has been the case. There are two McDonald’s down the road and either direction. If you don’t mind to drive, I would say go to those ones way before you go to this one especially the one in Canfield that one is by far the best out of the three. But man, if you have to go to this one, do it during breakfast time because once the evening crew gets on, it seems like everything just...
Read moreLong story, but, I have to vent. We sat in the drive thru line for so long that all the cars behind us left, angrily. We were veeery patient, because there was a lot of traffic in town, from a local car show. The girl finally began to take our order, but, half way through the order she set her head set down & left us sitting there, without an explanation. Who does that??? After waiting, quite a while, yet again, we thought we would go inside, to see if there was a speaker problem. When we walked in the door, the girl behind the counter looked at my husband, our two young boys, & I, and loudly said, "Are you kidding me?" Confused, I said, "Excuse me? Is there problem?" She sarcastically said, "Yeah, we're closed!" "There's only two of us here!" And, "The doors were locked!" Not only was she out of line for, unprofessionally, hollering out at us like she did, in front of the other customers, who were dining in, but, she failed to acknowledge the fact that we wouldn't have had to walk in, in the first place, if she wouldn't have left us hanging at the drive thru, mid order, as well as the car next to us & the ones behind them. Plus, she didn't make sense, because, how would we have gotten in, if the doors were locked??? It was just turning ten o'clock, BUT, it was approximately 9:35 pm., when we first pulled up to order, AND PATIENTLY WAITED. Unbelievable experience!!! We walked out, in awww of her ignorance, embarrassed & starving. My husband drove us down the road to the next McDonald's in Poland, Ohio to have an uneventful, drama free drive thru experience. We've had other bad experiences at the Boardman, Ohio location. We've always just let them slide. But, this one was the last straw. We won't go back there, again. End of rant. Thank you...
Read moreLong story short: Cashiers do NOT listen and get argumentative even if you acknowledge an issue isn't their fault personally but the apps or mcdonalds as a whole. Take things personally everytime regardless of the context. Terrible service from all of the locations owned by the guy who franchises the local McDonalds in mahoning county.
I got a mobile order at 9:50 through the app, with no warning as to what time they close. They apparently recently changed their hours to closing at 10pm. When I get there at 9:55 they say they cannot see the order due to it being so close to closing, fine. I tell them "well that's McDonalds fault not yours, I'll just order normally since you aren't closed yet." Then they have me come around to the window instead of taking my order because they want to check my phone for the order. I state ok. Get to the window and they see the order. They tell me again well it's so close to closing. One offers to take my order I said "ok well again it's not like it's your fault its McDonald's app designers' fault for the app so sure I will order." Then the next one goes "well we are closed after all of course it wouldn't work..." I state but you weren't when I ordered and nor are you actually closed at the moment since its not even 10pm yet show her my phone and time clearly states it is not 10pm and somehow she could not hear the girl right next to her stating she would take my order. yet this employee continues to argue and so does the one offering to take my order. No reason to go through all this when I clearly stated that I understood the situation and would just order through the drive through like normal at the very beginning. Their cashiers have comprehension and...
