Ranchers Roast Beef — Restaurant in Ohio

I like their large variety of menu items. I had never been there before 10/19/2022. My husband's family is from here. We recently moved back here. I forgot my coupons so it seems as pricey as Arby's. Great that they have Jr's. & potato cakes & a club since Arby's discontinued them. The food was good except they forgot our cheddar on our sandwiches. They were not real busy and it was prime dinner time for most. I think if their prices killed Arby's prices they could get a lot more business. I got 2 med roast beef sandwiches, 1 order of onion chips (they were great) and 1 order of potato cakes and it came to $16+. They also slice the meat as the orders come in. Unlike the old Rax that sliced a bunch ahead of time then threw it on a griddle. I would have liked the roast beef sliced a bit thinner. Some of my meat was sliced thin some was not. (Odd) The girl at the window was very pleasant. I'm an old ex Arby's employee from 40 years ago and we always sliced the meat on the same number. Overall I would recommend them to friends. Meh. My family and I came here for breakfast because of the great reviews and ended up being very disappointed. We were ignored when we walked in and stood around waiting to find out how to get a menu, they were busy chit-chatting with the regulars. The menu screen they had wasn’t working, there was no paper menus so we just stood there waiting to talk to someone. Finally they told us we could seat ourselves and look at their menu on the their website. We ordered our food and paid, the wait was quite long. The guy that took our order asked another staff member about the status of our order and I overheard her say “I forgot they even existed”. The whole time we waited we heard constant beeping of the microwave. All the 5 star reviews are from family friends. I called to find out if they had Reuben sandwiches because whatever I was looking at didn't show them on the menu. The person who answered the phone was cordial when answering my question. After deciding what I wanted, I called to place the order. The ordering was quick and easy. I thought it would be slightly more than what the total ended up being! I was asked how long before we'd be there to pick it up. I figured about 45 minutes, and when we arrived I went in, was waited on within a minute. I was amazed that I didn't have to give my name - the order was ready when I arrived. Paid, handed the bag, along with receipt and my card, out the door. The food was delicious, although on the cooler side. Not their fault because we had to drive about 30 minutes one way to get home and then eat.
