Hong kong Buffet — Restaurant in Washington Court House

After reading the rave reviews I decided to eat here.....needless to say it was very disappointing. The pepper chicken had an awful taste as if it had freezer burn. The sesame chicken was tolerable but still not very good. Lastly I gave the general tso’s chicken a try, it was the best of the three but was just okay based on taste. I also had the string beans which were good, the crab rangoons were a little hard but were edible. Overall the place appeared to be clean but the food did not live up to my expectations that I got from the existing reviews. Oh, one last thing, the price was way too high for this small town buffet. Total was $26 and change for two buffets and two drinks, I have had way better for only $16-$18 range...

We all know the Asian-buffet-experience. Restaurants can vary wildly in food quality, availability and staffing's customer service. Hong Kong Buffet (WCH, OH) did everything right. We asked about it from a nearby merchant and got a "thumbs up," so we tried it. We were greeted at the door, by pleasant staff and wonderful aromas. We were seated quickly in a comfortable booth and found four buffet islands filled with fresh and hot menu selections. The staff was fast with drinks and refills. Lots of regulars in the restaurant proved this was a local favorite. Staff chatted easily with everyone and definitely made us feel welcome. Go there at your own risk! The place is dirty and smells like dead rotting rodents. It’s $10.99 if they “like you”. Everything is drenched in oil including the seafood and vegetables. Pictures in reviews by regulars shows fresh food, but in reality the food looks and tastes like week old leftovers. The melon was sour and chewy. The staff is super rude hovering over you while you eat just waiting to hand you the check to save as much artery clogging poison as possible for the next victim. On my way to the restrooms at the end of my meal, a glance to my right revealed the dirtiest kitchen I’ve ever seen. No one wears gloves at this restaurant. Most disgusting...
