Samantha's Sunny Corner Restaurant — Restaurant in Ohio

Went to Samantha’s for our anniversary breakfast. This was the first place we had gone together. We sat down to order and we discussed the menu prices changing and decided on what to get. The server came over and my fiancé ordered but substituted toast instead of potatoes. I though he had done it because of the price so I stoped and asked if he wanted them. The waitress stormed off. I said to him that was kind of rude. Later he looks at me and said “we are never coming back here” I said why and he said the server was talking nasty about me and he did not like it. He was extremely offended. Naturally I asked what was it and he got upset and said he will tell me when we leave. So during our anniversary breakfast it was odd and unhappy. Later when we left he said the waitress was complaining to another that I was “giving him grief about him ordering toast and not potato’s”. I he did not even leave a tip. That is saying something for him. I want to thank the self Righteous server for ruining our anniversary. Thank you for being so judgemental that my simple question to my fiancé was so offensive to yourself that you had to be so rude to me during our visit. We will never be back. I have never been treated that way at any restaurant I have ever been in. The next time you want to unjustly judge someone maybe think twice that it isn’t what you think, or maybe do it a bit more discretely, or just keep your nasty opinion to yourself. So I am sure by the time I knew there was a problem and we both looked a little unhappy it may have seemed like I am a class a complainer but what was really happening was he heard you! My wife and I have eaten here several times. The food is a hit and miss proposition; I will say $12.99 for a BLT is an insult, the old and hard bacon was a turn off, meager slice of tomato, more Lettuce than anything else; even with a side that you choose, it's overpriced. Make it with freshly cooked bacon, several slices of tomato and a little Lettuce, then it might be justified. My wife got something that was alot fresher, less expensive and a better portion size than my BLT. The sloppy joe is decent, however the fries on any of the meals I have ordered are either warm and fresh or cold. Consistency is not Samantha's strong suit, in either food or service. We have had good service and service that borders on completely absent. Another thing they need to address is the vacuum cleaner; they were cleaning up before closing and using the vacuum cleaner, it's either old and getting ready to burn up, or dirty and needs cleaned. It generated a foul smell that lingered even after they were done using it. Or at least wait until all your patrons have left to vacuum. We keep waiting to see if they improve on the food and service. But time is...

Totally disrespectful and unprofessional establishment I came in to order breakfast after I had a hard day after work and got over charged for not edible food it was disgusting they forgot my bacon and hash brown was so soggy and burnt it ruined my day they charged me 31.00 unacceptable charges for service and food I had my wife call back inn to tell the manager she said she’ll us back it’s been now 3 days and still haven’t heard anything from the manager I’ll go somewhere else but here 2 pancakes Bacon Hashbrown Eggs w/cheese Egg omelet Hashbrown Toast Side small gravy This was my order for over 31.00 ridiculous I’m a truck driver I go to mom and pop’s dinner all the time and never have I been over charged like this stay away and go to Judy’s better price and service and most importantly BETTER FOOD!!!!
