I grew up on Sandwich Factory in Boardman. The one thing we could always count on was consistency. I hadn't had it in about a year, and today I was craving it. Sadly today was a different experience from what i've always been used to. They were pretty busy when i came in. There was no line, but I was told "be right with you." No problem! I waited patiently. A line gathered behind me while we waited. When a woman finally made her way up to the register, she looked at the line and then rolled her eyes. I know you're stressed and busy, but no need for the attitude. Unprofessional. The wait for the food was expected for a busy place. No problem. I got a half #7 and a side of Onion Rings. I've pretty much gotten this order my whole life. And I've always raved about the onion rings. The sandwich was standard - no problems. The onion rings were in an oil-drenched bag and the bag was only about a 1/4 full with crumbs and bits of onion rings. I wish i could say i was joking. It was about two inches of onion crumbs in a slimy bag. I'm not one to complain about portions, but this was comical. They used to give much more in an order. For reference, the bag was even rolled up at the top to hide the empty bag. I decided to bring it up and simply ask them "Are these the onion rings?" after thinking about the $4.25 i payed for them. They shrugged and yelled to "drop a new onion ring." She then explained to me that "the fried mushrooms, onion rings, and cheese are all weighed out to 4oz and they need to break them up to do so". Odd. Maybe don't advertise them as Onion Rings if they aren't actually going to be that. Hell, i'd eat them broken, i don't care. The amount for the price was the main issue. My new bag was the same amount of food, but this time it actually contained two whole onion rings, and two small broken pieces. Wish i took a photo of the original bag. Attached is the new bag. They used to atleast fill the bag which would probably be 7-10 rings. So just know that if you get onion rings now, you're paying $4.25 for 2.5 onion rings, all broken up.

Ordered a giant hot sausage with everything and provolone cheese which was $2 extra, got home and no cheese and the sandwich was so sloppy and the bread was falling apart. Tried to eat half and I literally got sick from it. I got a fried cheese and was supposed to have sauce on it and it literally had maybe a tablespoon of sauce and it was very dry and looked like a big chunk was missing from the cheese. Then I looked at the receipt and they charged me $5.28 for a tip which I didn't want. For those two items I paid almost $26 which I feel is ridiculous especially when I couldn't even eat it. I will never go back there again. Used to go to Poland all the time and everything was so good so I figured I would try Boardman again and never again. I saw 5 star reviews and I don't think they were real. Buyer beware. Wouldn't even give it to my dogs it went straight in the trash. What a waste of money for us!!!! šŸ˜ž. Just wanted to say I never have wrote a bad review before and with times like they are I feel bad but I can't afford to waste money and I am sure nobody else can either so I just wanted to share and let everyone know.

ā€œThe best sub place in Youngstown!ā€ Was my old review. This place has really went downhill. I’ve been coming here over 20 years, and the service and food has become very mainstream, the extra meat ribeye sub had like 4 pieces of meat, when we called to tell them they forgot extra meat, they said there was nothing they can do. Sandwich factory? more like ripoff factory. You guys lost our business.

I recently went to this location and was excited thinking that they would have the best sandwiches around. Boy, was I wrong. My friend is a vegetarian and ordered an egg salad sub, and she said there literally was no egg on it it was all mayonnaise and lettuce. She took it up to show the manager, and he just looked at her and said, "it's fine, it's got egg in it. I made it myself. " She proceeded to show him the inside of her Sub and said she tasted it and it did not taste like there was any egg in it and he just kind of rolled her his eyes at her. I looked at it, and if there were eggs in the mixture, there was very little because there was no texture at all to whateve mayonnaise mixture they put on her sub. Sub was over $10, so she was definitely disappointed. I was very disappointed in the way that the staff handled the situation. I had a meat sub, and mine was "ok". It definitely was not the best sub I've ever had, but I was relatively satisfied. I will not go back to this location.

Responding to Sandwich Factory's response. I receive ZERO compensation for my reviews. I believe in helping others make educated decisions when I'm able. If you look at my other reviews, I rarely leave a review this poorly. I was honestly just that disappointed in this particular restaurant :( We did bring our concern to the staff, even opened up the sandwich to show him, and he made us feel like we were imbeciles for even thinking there was something wrong "I made it myself, it is the same as always"! My friend has been a vegetarian for many years (over 30 years) and has eaten A LOT of egg salad sandwiches through the years, lol. She said this is the first time she has ever been disappointed in one from...

This place was great...I live right down the street and have wanted to try it for a while but just never did... What a horrible mistake...I was craving a sub sandwich and went to another place down the road... Another horrible mistake.... After being horribly disappointed the night before, I decided to try again and go here... BINGO!!! They were about to close, but I Still received AMAZING service... The girl behind the counter was super friendly and ended up making my sandwich because the place was still busy...I watched them handle a misunderstanding with absolute ease and poise... And the food was very reasonably priced...I added a couple extras, but wasn't charged anything more, and surprise, surprise.. I got home and the sub was loaded!!! Lots of meat and cheese, amazing soft bread, and exactly what I ordered... If I had to give you a negative, it would be I wish there were a lil more extras on it as far as toppings, but I'm sure I could have asked for it and they would have put it on... I'll find out next time, because I'll be going back often... And you should too! Yummy, well priced food... This place deserves an award. .. It's an...
