To all it may concern: I just wanted to let everyone know what a great experience I recently had at Cyber Express. The long and short of it is, I recently had that terrible scare of having the hard drive crash on my computer, and I was frantic! All of my tons upon tons of personally relevant, important, priceless, and irreplaceable files/documents were potentially at stake, and I was a mess at the thought of perhaps losing it all. (*And yes, I now realize that I should've been backing up my files regularly, but being a somewhat non-'tech-savvy' person overall, the thought of doing so simply slipped my mind until this unfortunate event (a mistake I won't forget and will definitely learn from!)). Anyway, the point is, after basically no possible help from anywhere else, Cyber Express really came through and saved the day for me. After several days of their emergency recovery process (both hardware & technician expertise), my whole hard drive and all files were retrieved and transferred to a new one!! And even beyond that, they checked for other minor internally related problems, installed the new battery that I had just purchased, reinstalled a new version of Windows and the Office-365 program set that I currently had, even apparently thoroughly cleaned the computer itself, and thankfully doubled my hard drive space by finding and deleting my own dumb prior mistake of the unnecessary double external-drive back-up of my old computer's hard drive (which was taking up some 200+ GB of space). (*And true, I realize that all of this is their area of expertise and their job after all, but still that doesn't detract from the fact that I'm very pleased with the outcome and service that I received.) And included in all of this is the nice service/help from the manager David Stanley. He was not only professional with the fix, but was also very friendly, funny, and put my mind at ease. So, thanks again David and the rest at Cyber Express for helping me retrieve what is so very important to me. I'll definitely pass out your business cards and recommend you guys to people I know and will also choose you first for any future computer problems/endeavors. Read moreI want so badly to give this store more stars, but in my own personal experience, I cannot warrant more stars. I took my computer to Cyber Express because my Apple device was completely lifeless randomly one morning. I was told by the female working there that for $50, they could take my computer to their Apple “guy” and run some diagnostics. So I signed off that they had my device and off I went. About two days later, I was told that my motherboard was dead and I could come pick up my machine if I wanted no further repairs with them (and because replacing a $600 motherboard seems silly when a new computer is $850), I decided that I didn’t. When I picked up the device, I was told I owed $90. When I nicely questioned why the difference in price, the male workers response was “that’s what we charge. And trust me, we did more than $90 worth of work for you”.. A bit taken aback, I paid the $90 and asked for a receipt, and the response I got was “I mean, do you really need one?” ... A very unprofessional response in my opinion. Overall, the whole experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth, which was then proved further when I called a few days later to ask a question about data recovery, and overheard the male worker yelling at the female worker while she asked him the questions I had. VERY unprofessional and disappointing. Overall, I wish I had never gone here and lost that $90 (that should have been $50). Hopefully others have a better experience with...
Read moreI'm a small business owner (consultant). I was pulling my hair out trying to sync multiple emails, calendars, and contact lists on both my desktop and new laptop. These are relatively simple tasks that in-house IT support used to help me with at my previous job. I was wasting too much valuable time trying to solve something that was not my expertise.
After a quick web search for IT support, I filled in a form asking what I needed help with. I received a call back within 10 minutes from Dave. We scheduled a time the next day to dig into my problems. Dave went above and beyond helping me understand what he was changing. Work was done on an hourly basis. No service contract, no minimum amount, no hidden fees, and no up-sale. Dave brought to my attention a few very pragmatic alternatives to how I was currently operating, but did not pressure or try to sell me something I didn't understand or didn't need.
