Merchandise is great, sales are great but the workers often don't seem to care. I was looking for a particular jewelry item that showed it was in stock at this store per the app, but couldn't find it. I asked an employee for help. She told me what aisle to look on. I told her I had already looked there as that was the aisle the app said it was on. The worker, without looking, said, "Well we must be out then." I asked her if she would mind looking for me or if she knew where on the aisle it should be as there were A LOT of tiny baggies of various jewelry items on this aisle. She sighed and huffed but finally looked on her app. It told her the exact spot to look in. She went straight to it and found it behind another item that had erroneously been placed in front of the item I was looking for. Grateful she found it but could have done without the laziness and the attitude.
We also had an issue at self checkout. We kept trying to scan an item and the scanner wasn't picking it up. Then all of a sudden it showed that the item had been scanned twice. We had to wait quite awhile for the lone cashier to finish with her customer before she could come unlock the register, delete the extra item and get us back to scanning. Would have been nice if another worker were near the front of the store for cases like this, especially since the cashier said, "This happens ALL the time."
On a separate note, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Michael's gives a generous 15% Veteran's discount on top of sale prices. Bumping this review up 1 star...

Read moreI tried to talk to the manager about a situation regarding a price difference that was given to me and all I wanted to talk to her about was maybe some education on making sure people understand prices however however, they sat in the office and spoke about me and she kept sending people out one after another that weren’t her. I simply wanted to discuss how things are communicated and she refused to even come out. She later came out when I was at the self checkout to give somebody a balloon looked right at me did not speak with me. I’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars here. They think since the options are few they can treat people poorly. I have video and receipts from this situation.
