Warhammer — Local services in Oklahoma City

Update: I had a morning off, so I thought I'd swing by and give it another try. Posted hours are 11:00am-2:30pm, 3:00pm-7:00pm. I arrived at 1:35pm and not only were the doors locked and the lights off, there were 2 missed UPS delivery notices and a note from at least a day ago from a customer complaining about no one being in the shop at the posted hours. Where are the staff for this store??

I'm here to spend money, but I can't do that if no one will be there to take it!

Original: I’m new to the miniature war game hobby and am looking for some in-person help and advice because you can only get so far online.

This is the second time I’ve tried to frequent the local store during posted hours that there has been some kind of sign advising the store wasn’t open. This time it said they were at the bank.

It’s frustrating trying to get into something that looks like a blast when you can’t even get in the door...

Never Open

I live nearby, and my job takes me past this place all the time. I get regular breaks between calls, so I’ve made a lot of attempts to stop in. I’ve tried weekends, weekdays, mornings, afternoons, all during the posted business hours. Every single time, the store is closed.

It’s honestly exhausting. I see other locations posting about monthly minis and community events, and yet here in Oklahoma City, the biggest city in the state, we’re stuck with a completely inactive Warhammer store.

It’s been a ghost town for over a year. I drove by again this afternoon hoping something had changed, maybe just a light on or someone inside. Nothing. Still closed. Still empty.

At this point, it feels like there’s zero support from the people in charge. For a city this size with a dedicated player base, it’s incredibly frustrating to feel so overlooked.

Came to the store after not being in the store for a couple of years. Noticed the store open from Noon to 6:30 on Sunday and came by around 1:45pm. Door was locked. Person working was in their car, rolled down the window and said “hey! I’m on break until 2.”

I was shocked to hear someone is taking a break after working for a little over AN HOUR!!!!! Not to mention the fact that after looking at the Facebook page for the store, it has been closed for different reasons 20+ times over the past year. This is horrible business practice and the manager should be ashamed of how they are running...
