Elemental Coffee — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

Let’s start with Kudos to OKC airport for bringing in multiple local favorites instead of all the boring chains you usually find in airports. Elemental’s downtown location is fantastic. Food, service, baristas, are in the top 5 coffee shops in okc (which has a decently robust coffee scene scene, for being in the Midwest) I am not an espresso girl, I’m a pourover or drip girl so I can’t comment on the espresso drinks. The drip here at the airport is excellent, because the beans are excellent and that’s what Elemental does. I too am disappointed they don’t have real baristas at the airport location but I also understand not a lot of good baristas want to get up at 3a and drive to the airport to make coffee and open the shop at 430. IMHO if you like Starbucks and think what they serve tastes good, then you should get that, but if you are someone who appreciates coffee that isn’t overpowered with chemical syrups and sugar, and doesn’t taste like charcoal, try the drip at Elemental. They will steam milk, add flavor etc, but it won’t be nasty mass bottled syrup and the coffee will have a flavor profile you can actually assess. I was so happy when I found out elemental coffee was here at airport terminal! However, the drinks and service were a bit different than what I remembered from the city location. Coffee was okay, matcha latte was pretty good! But the service was meh. The barista did not respond when I said how are you or have a good day, I understand it can be stressful so I didn’t expect them to wish me back a good day but I was sad to just be ignored 😅 I love supporting small businesses but if that’s how it makes me feel, I might go to...

Elemental Coffee is located near Gate 8 in the restricted departure lounge. This is a take-away coffee shop offering standard coffee drinks, breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Opening hours are 4.30am to 5pm daily.

I stopped by prior to an early departure and found their Cortado a bit too milky but not bad. Cinnamon Roll was fairly good. Staff were friendly, service timely and prices ok considering this is an airport branch. Nice having early morning options not called...
