Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

Horrible place. The service was atrocious. Apparently, there’s a “right” place to order and a “wrong” place. The counter is set up like a Subway counter. You would expect to order on the left side as you face the counter. I held that expectation for 10 minutes while 2–TWO—employees completely ignored me. Then another customer apparently lined up in the ‘right” place and was attended right away. Upon protest, the young lady behind the counter told me that where I was standing is not when you order. She then IGNORED ME and proceeded to take the other people’s orders. I finally got through to her by complaining more and physically moving ahead of the other group of people, who, by this point, were getting irritated with me. Overall horrible experience. Will NEVER buy again. Oh, and I ordered the banana, strawberry and mocha/chocolate smoothie. They left out the chocolate. Surprised? For $10 for a stupid smoothie, you’d expect a bit better experience, right? Not at the fabulous “tropical” smoothie Cafe where you can expect to be ignored, have your time wasted, be blamed for the wait—they were NOT busy—and they’ll even argue with you when you point out you’ve been ignored...

I really appreciate having such a great restaurant located in the airport. Among all the busy traveler, the rush and stress, it's all too easy to pick up not-so-great fast food. This cafe shows that they have your body's nutritional wellness in mind with their unique menu.

The staff all had content smiles and happily chatting amongst themselves; A sign of a healthy work environment. ☺️

I found it a pleasant surprise to find I had the option to add Whey protein and an energy boost to my smoothie. My smoothie was ready in under 5 min; it was probably even quicker than that! The smoothie combinations are all in my opinion pretty dang delicious; but I've always been the unique kid who enjoyed their greens and healthy food. 😂

I'm really grateful for the calorie information added to the menu too; it really takes to anxiety out of eating outside of home. I really do think all restaurants should have calories listed for every menu item. I'm really happy to have a healthy choice among other fast food restaurants; this made me feel good to stick with my weight...

Excellent customer service. The cashier was very friendly, polite & my food arrived promptly. The gentlemen that handed it over was polite but there were a few employees visibly disgusted by my presence. 😆 Those could be the employees other reviewers had experienced with. As far as my visit, they were friendly with no issues.
