My husband and I enjoyed our dinner and the atmosphere at Foodies Kitchen in south OKC. The building is clean and welcoming. The owner, Mr Maksud, graciously greeted each customer. As soon as we sat down we were each brought a complimentary papad, which is a lentil based fryed snack bread, and salad, and dipping sauce. We ordered one chicken biriani which was more than enough for two people and the spices were perfect and the chicken was so tender. We also ordered a beef shish kabab that came to our table sizzling with the most softest naan bread that simply melted in your mouth along with two vegetable samosas. The food quantity was so adequate that we ate until we were full and asked for a to go box. The cost of our entire dinner was affordably priced. We strongly recommend if you are looking for delicious, authentic Bangladeshi/Indian/Mediterranean food at an affordable price in a relaxing atmosphere go to Foodies Kitchen!! You will not be...
Read moreThis is a new place and it is my 2nd time going there. The 1st time was a buffet, but they stopped that. When I asked why, the owner said he could not maintain the quality of the food. The 2nd time I went was after I returned from a trip to DC. The prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious. They provide Naan or rice with each entree. This is great because I personally don't like to eat rice. I got the chicken korma for $9.99 and the chicken Karahi which was also about 9.99 or 10.99. They give you pappadum (crispy wafer) with chutney at the beginning. The server was brand new so I have to overlook her lack of experience but the owner is very friendly and polite. I am actually going to have my wedding rehearsal dinner here for those coming from out of town as they have a separate room to accommodate up to 50 people. Hope this place...
Read moreFoodie’s Kitchen fills a much-needed gap with its authentic Bengali and South Asian flavors. Maksud Bhai and his family pour their hearts into every dish—the kebabs are perfectly spiced, the biryani fragrant and hearty, and the curries burst with homestyle authenticity. You can tell each dish is made with love, as if prepared for their own family.
Beyond the incredible food, I love how this place carries the spirit of their legendary community gatherings. With their warmth and generosity, I’m certain it’ll soon become a beloved meet-up spot—not just for South Asians, but for all of OKC’s food lovers.
