We came today for a late lunch or early dinner, whichever. I brought my son with me today and it's been YEARS since I've been to an Olive Garden so we stopped in. This one is by an Outback Steakhouse and a Hobby Lobby. There's a big enough parking lot with some parking for "to go" meals. Up at the entrance we're some patio chairs.
A lady met us at the door and took down our name and phone number asking if we wanted to wait outside or in our car and she would notify us when our table was ready. We chose the car it's way too hot outside to sit on their metal chairs. We sat in our car and it wasn't 5 minutes and they had texted me that our table was ready! Not a bad wait time at all!
We were escorted to a huge round table for the two of us and we ordered our drinks. Next we ordered an appetizer of mozzarella sticks with marinara and she asked if we also wanted a salad? Sure why not we can splurge. We also went ahead and ordered two plates of Four Cheese Stuffed Shells with Grilled Chicken and marinara. They never asked us what dressing we wanted and when she asked if we wanted everything on it my son said yes.
They brought out this huge bowl of salad with everything including jalapenos on it. We didn't know what "everything" meant. It looked like it could feed 4-5 people with some garlic breadsticks! If I'd a known that I wouldn't have ordered the mozerella sticks. She grated cheese on it and grated and grated, I asked her for ranch salad dressing. She brought me back this little bitty plastic container of it for this big salad and two people! I found out from my son that there was a dressing already on it. Well now he tells me after I poured all the ranch selfishly on mine. The mozzarella sticks were perfect. The cheese stretched out from your mouth to the other end of the stick. They were good but while swallowing the wad of mozzarella I was hoping someone knew the helmlich maneuver...was just a thought, just in case.
I was already full from the appetizer, salad and breadsticks when our entrees arrived. It looked delicious and beautiful on the plate, I almost hated to cut into it but you know I just had to try it. It wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be and I had wished that I had ordered the Lasagna or Chicken Alfredo that I was looking at before I decided to try something new. It was a little bit of a let down but that's on me, I'm sure there's people that love it.
Our waitress was very attentive, I wish I would've caught her name. She kept checking on us and bringing us more breadsticks. This lady is wanting a big tip, and she deserves it! When she brought us our ticket my son told me to push the pay button on their kiosk that's left on the table. I guess you can play games on it too. I wasn't going to touch that thing, not only do I not have a clue how to use it but no telling how many people has already put their hands on it and with this pandemic you have to be careful!
Our ticket was $52.06 for two people!! Olive Garden really likes their food...this wasn't even a celebration or anything. Those little glasses of drinks are $2.99 each! I have a 40 oz. drink in the car, cost me $1.69. The mozzarella sticks were $6.99 (not bad), the salad was free and the shells were $13.99 each...adding the grilled chicken was another $3.49 each. I saw the price of the pasta shells when I ordered..even though that's a big price for four pasta shells with sauce I ordered it anyway so that's on me too. I paid and left a 20 for the tip..yep she was that good. Though, I'm not too sure that I'd come back to any Olive Garden even for a celebration, they just charge way too much for pasta..if I do come back I'll just get a salad with some water that's...
Read moreYesterday was my birthday and my kiddos and mom wanted to take me out to eat and I choice Olive Garden cause of there amazing food and endless bread sticks and salad. Everything was going good at first got our drinks first round of breadsticks and salad and our waitress asked if we would like cheese on the salad and we said yes as that is the favorite part and she never asked when and sprinkle a little on there and she then took our order and I asked can we have another thing of breadsticks after you put in our order and she said of course. So she left went to put our food order in then!! We patiently waited for our basket of breadsticks and the whole time she over there talking to other employees and playing around. I choice the least busiest part of the day as my youngest has autism and my mother is hard of hearing. Then she comes with our food and I asked for breadsticks again can’t eat Alfredo without their amazing breadsticks she said of course again and 10 mintues later she finally brought them. When she brought our food asked again do you guys want cheese we said yes put a small amount on there and stopped, never once did she say ok tell me when. I was half done with my meal already and got up to go use the bathroom and my drink was empty so figured she would come fill it considering we paid 4.49 for a fountain drink with free refills, walked into the restroom and she in there in a stall chatting on the phone. Then when I returned the table the general manager brought us our bill and ask about to go boxes, and my soda was still bone dry so I decided to just take the rest of my food home can’t eat it without something to drink. Even when we first got there I informed her I wanted to take two bags of bread home because my older sister couldn’t come with us and she loves their breadsticks as well, didn’t mind paying for them at all. 15 mintues later she finally returned with my to go bread at least she was nice enough to charge me for just one. In my opinion after spending 100.00 to eat on top of her tip we should have got both bags for free considering the whole hour and half there we got 2 baskets of breadsticks and no refills, her work buddies and phone conversation where more important then us!!! So if you going to offer endless breadsticks and salad if you buy an entree then keep them coming especially when we bought 4 entrees!!! We usually tip 20.00 for our good services and she got 3.00 from me and 5 from my mom and if she would have just done her job and focused on us then she would have made an easy 25.00!!! I won’t be going again that is for sure cause 100.00 for 2 baskets of bread, and one drink, and one salad with a little cheese on it isn’t worth the price they charged!! But on a good note the cooks did an awesome job and in my opinion the general manager deserved that tip more then she did!!! Last thing they weren’t even busy at all and she only had 2 tables at most so we should have gotten...
Read more2:30pm My girlfriend and I were seated promptly and placed our order with the waiter that we were a bit questionable about. I apologize in advance, for I am not a judge mental person however, the waiters’ face looked as if he had been picking it for days/weeks. It was fresh open sores, scabs and gave us both sick stomachs. We were going to decline lunch and go elsewhere but we had already received our drinks and hard stale breadsticks. Decided to give it a go. We had asked for salad twice and upon receiving it, we asked for grated cheese and when he began grating, it appeared that he was having a difficult time, then stopped, laid grater down on table and began complaining how it was hurting his hand because of a burn. He then shows us the burn/open wound. We didn’t receive our order for it seems almost an hour. No sign of waiter, I walk walked to front counter and asked for someone to check in on our order. I assumed that you weren’t busy at all that we’d receive our order promptly. A manager appears and began apologizing for the delay and that the kitchen was extremely busy with a very large cater order and she would go tell them to put that on hold so that we could get our order. And she would discount our tab. Shortly afterwards, the waiter appears with our order. Hotter than hell, couldn’t eat it. After finishing a few bread sticks and a few attempts to eat our food. It was horrible. The quality of food was nuked so long that it ruined the food. I asked the waiter to talk with the manager and he brings the bill and said that he applied a discount. The bill was infact reduced 12.00 however, I went to front counter and asked for the manager. The lady said, oh sorry she is unavailable because she is in an interview. Before I could say anything else, she answered the phone and then pages manager for line 1. Hmmm….thought she was in an interview! I’m disappointed in the service and especially the food!!!! One more thing…amidst all the above, the waiter let us know that he was dying for a cigarette and that he had not had one or had even a break. Also, that he wasn’t liked by the manager and co-workers. That he was next in line to be fired! Please Olive Garden clean up your employee(s) and proper prep of food then I will give a positive review IF I...
