La Oaxaquena Bakery — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

We went for breakfast. The bakery side was busy, but the restaurant side had only 1 occupied table. We seated ourselves as no one seemed to want to help us. We walked past a table of employees enjoying their breakfast. They all looked at us but that’s about it. It took about 8 minutes for someone to bring menus and get our drink order. Another 10 minutes or so to come back and take our order. Once our order was finally placed it was close to 30 minutes before we received our food. No drink refills. No checks to see if everything was ok. Another 30 minutes or so and we received our check. Bottom line..... The 2 stars were because the food was pretty good and because our waitress was nice. Don’t go excepting fast service or above average food. The bakery was getting great business so we may go back to check out the pan dulce, but not for...

Went as part of a project for my Spanish class. We had a great time! The staff does mostly speak Spanish, but they know some English too and seemed happy to serve us even when they thought we only spoke English :) we got the Tlayuda, a tostada the size of a medium pizza! It was so good. It seems most people just treat it as a bakery--there was always a steady flow of people coming in to get sweet bread and such, traditional Mexican style! We did feel a little out of place but only because this place is so authentic. The one thing I didn't love was the parking lot, which was difficult to get in and out of.
