I had arrived at the drive-thru at about 7pm and started to place my order over the speaker. Half-way through my order, the person taking my order cut me off and asked me to finish my order at the window because they were having a hard time understanding me. I drove around and due to other cars waiting at the window, I had to wait for about 15 minutes just to finish placing my order.
While finishing my order, I had ordered several kids meals and the drive-thru attendant again cut me off and rudely stated, "Another kids meal? How many kids do you got?" This started to upset me, but I remained calm and told her that I was having a family get together and continued to place my order.
When I completed my order, I handed my debit card to the drive-thru attendant to pay my bill of $75. My order had contained several Root Beer Floats and Freezes. After charging my card, the attendant then told me there was no root beer. I asked if we could substitute it for pepsi, and the attendant told me the whole drink station was down. So I did what any sensible person would do and asked for a refund for all of my drinks. The attendant then rudely asked, "You want a refund for all these drinks?!"
I answered with, "Yes, you are telling me that you do not have any drinks, therefore I am not paying for them. Also, I just spent $75 at your restaurant, you need to quit being rude to me."
At that time, the attendant said they needed to go get the manager. The manager never came to the window, but the attendant came back and said the root beer was suddenly working. She asked if we would pull around to the front of the building and she would bring our food out to us. With all these issues, we decided to go inside and wait for our food.
Inside the store, we witnessed that we were not the only customers having problems with the restaurant staff that night. Several people had been waiting long times for their food, were openly complaining and demanding refunds. Some of the language that was being used in the store made me glad that I did not have any children with me. It appeared that the manager was the only person working on food prep. The drive-thru attendant was just standing at the window, and two employees were standing at the counter with no orders to take, but were not assisting with food prep.
Our drinks were brought out about 10 minutes after walking into the store, but our food did not come out until ONE HOUR later at 8pm. At that point, our root beer floats had melted all over the counter and had to be re-made. We checked our order before leaving the store, and it was completely wrong. It was missing 1 hamburger and chili cheese fries. The other 5 hamburgers in the order had to be re-made because they had condiments on them when we asked for no condiments. It took another 30 MINUTES just to correct our order.
So all together, we waited at your restaurant for an hour and a half for our meal. Had it not been for the fact that my family visiting from out of town were at my house waiting for dinner, I would have done what several other customers had done that evening and demanded a refund and went...
Read moreThe guy working the register yesterday, Wednesday, October 25th he has the Greatest Customer Service that I've seen in a long, long time. That young man made my visit there very enjoyable as well as many others that came in. I had just come from Mercy Breast Cancer Center and was told my only option was surgery, so as you can imagine 💔 I was definitely in the dumps, sad, happy, and mad all at once. But I wasn't in there that long when his Smile, Laughter and Extremly Kind Nature just changed the entire course of the rest of my day. So, like I said, I didn't get his name, but, I do believe he had a name tag on he was just ah movin and ah shakin, taking orders and the kitchen was putting it out just as quick and he was running every order out to his customers..!!! By far, that was the greatest visit, to date, that I had at this location. {Penn & ?} It's got A&W in that location. I'd appreciate it if he was told of this message and just how blessed I was to come in there yesterday, of all days, and truly he DEFINITELY CHANGED THE COURSE OF MY DAY and MY NIGHT....!!!!! I Hope & Pray you tell him what a blessing he is to all who encounter him . Please don't change, sir. God gave you something special, and you use it, and it's amazing what a smile and kind words can do to someone and change the course of one thought, one decision. God Bless You Always. P.S. he most definitely needs a raise, and He needs to stay right where he's at..That location is Blessed to have him and we as customers are More Blessed to Encounter Him. God's Speed and A Most Sincere Thank You from the bottom of my heart. Respectful and Gratefully Blessed; Shelly...
Read moreSo, I haven't had the opportunity to eat LJS in almost a decade. Tonight, I got the opportunity, so I took it. Took my entire family. Pulled up to LJS on 122nd and saw a long line in the drive thru. I thought this must be a good thing. Pulled into the line at 7:15pm. Ordered at 7:42pm and got food just after 8pm. The individual working the window repeated my order back to me as I pulled up to the window. It wasn't accurate, so I repeated what I had ordered. This individual again repeated the same order that I told them was inaccurate. I tried correcting the order again, and a third time they repeated the same wrong order to me. I gave up, and paid for whatever they said I ordered. I tried looking past the fact that this individual didn't seem to care for me as a customer, and even seemed to have a disdain for my presence all together. I also tried looking past the rubber gloves that had all but the pinky finger cut off. LJS, I can't help but think this might be why your restaurants are disappearing. I waited 45 minutes to be treated like an inconvenience, almost as if I were a pest. To be told what I ordered, and not care enough to listen as I respectfully and repeatedly shared that the order was inaccurate. Lastly, to not even receive the incorrect order that was repeated back to me 3 times, and still I was shorted an entire meal. I've never had a worse eating experience. If this were my restaurant, I'd be disappointed that this is how business was...
