Overrated and unprofessional. I ordered their 2 taco meal with refried beans and rice. Oddly the refried beans were packed with black pepper and the rice overly seasoned with cumin. The seasoning proportions were unedible. The two tacos were supposed to be avacado and then the baja fish taco. The server read back our order correctly, but when it came out the Baja fish taco was replaced with a Birra taco. It took way too long to order so I didn't say anything and just went ahead and ate what was brought, it was unnoticed by the waitstaff all together. The birra taco had no seasoning and the avacado, although bountiful, was too large to consume as a taco. Would be better described as a full tostado. Then we order a Pina colada each. They were both sooo strong that the smell alone made them disgusting. I had taken two sips total to 1, try it, despite the smell, and 2, to see if I would be able to just go ahead and drink it. Neither of us could drink this powerful Pina colada. I don't know about you, but in my head Pina colada is more of a creamy soft type drink. This was hella stiff. At this point we very kindly tell the waitstaff they are not drinkable and unenjoyable. He says the manager will be over as this issue is above his pay grade. He then comes back, with no manager. He refunds my friends, but says the 2 sips out of mine make it unrefundable. My only option would be for them to take my current Pina colada and add more "mixer". At this point I tell him no thank you, I will not be drinking this period. My thinking why would I allow them to make another of the same drink or take back food that had already been with a customer at a table to amend it. I ended up paying full price for terrible food, the wrong food, and the worst Pina colada of my life. The management never made the situation right or even checked in on it. I have no faith in their ability to spice, proportion, provide proper timing for service, to make a good drink, or to properly manage. Had the manager come over I would have explained that, me being kind about the drink situation, was just the last straw behind my list of previous issues. I am not the type to be a Karen and complain, but a week later this is still astonishing to me. For a restaurant that people rave about, I was thoroughly and honestly unimpressed by it all! They need new management and better cooks. What they did was super unprofessional. Don't waste your money here; you can do better by...

Please avoid this place and support your local taco truck or anything other than this. I visited OSO this past Saturday 10/10/2020 with two of my friends because it was recommended by a mutual, and I was more than disappointed. First, the “queso” we ordered as an appetizer came out luke warm. We did not complain about the queso because this was our first time at the restaurant and we really wanted to enjoy it; however, the restaurant itself seems to have a problem with temperature. Not only was the queso warm, but both meals of me and one of my friends came out warm as well. Neither the rice, the tacos, nor the beans were hot, so OSO should work on there preparation and cook time, and also train their staff to pick up the pace. What sealed the deal on not returning was the way management handled their poor presentation. The woman who first asked me and my party how the food was going decided to use a very patronizing approach Then, the waiter asked how everything went only to cash us out and not offer any sort of remedy to the situation. THEN, as we are leaving the establishment, I believe the first woman, who was white, decided to send out a black woman to speak to us only for her to be very rude and confrontational as well. I mention race because our waiter and the woman who initially asked about the food were white and didn’t have anything to offer to make the situation better. I found it very interesting that their only solution was to send out the black woman to deal with me and my two friends, and if you know the Paseo, then you know why. Like I said, even the black woman was rude and did not offer any solution on how to settle the issue. When my friend expressed that the fruit cup THE LITERAL FRUIT CUP was warm and not fresh she stated that they store their fruit at 36 degrees, but that still does not negate the fact that food is clearly being left out and not handled properly. From my time spent there, I would give OSO a very hard pass. You will be wasting money on warm, unseasoned food, and if you are a person of color, they will send out their token person of color to address you. Again, support your local taco trucks! Also, how do y’all mess up tater tots?! The tater tots weren’t even fresh and all you have to do is drop those in grease. -3...

So as an ex employee I decided on Tuesday to stop in for some delicious tacos right before closingat Oso. Got the same as always the fried taco my favorite. Well I had one beverage ran into an ex employee and went up to their other bar The Flamingo Tiki room. As I a m there I had one beer and sat with the people I knew. Barely talked to the workers as they were off doing other things. While I am there I get a text from Ryan Wood a manager there saying it's time for me to leave. Now I didn't do anything at this point. I ask him why do I need to leave and he wouldn't give me an answer on why just keeps saying I need to leave. Then finally says that when I left the company it was because of employees. Very untrue!! I quit after I was told by him to leave during a shift. So I did. Have not been to the businesses since then and was told by the GM I was welcomed there. Come to find out a current employee Philip at Flamingo Tiki had a problem with me and I was being told that's why I was let go. Which I quit due to the management and being under paid for my work. I felt so unwelcome and the horrible service I got from this establishment was not right in any way. I won't ever go back there and I hope they never treat others this way. I mean their own employees are making content in their bathrooms during their work shift and it's being posted on websites. Which I don't find appropriate or ok in any job or work environment with children and people present. Didn't want to post this but I was made to be some bad person when the business them selves told me to leave and that employee has his issues of God knows what but that's ok and I hope these people understand that you cannot treat...

this is so sad to write, as my friend and i thought the food/pricing was quite good. the chorizo taco & the four bottles of creative salsa on the tables were impeccable! we waited about 40 minutes total for an outdoor patio table this evening, as we declined an indoor table for two at 30 minutes. we were seated with water and menus, but waited 20 minutes to have our order taken with no waiter in sight for our table. it was extremely frustrating to watch all tables around us being tend to, as we had absolutely no one come by to introduce themselves. i finally called the restaurant and politely asked if we could have our order taken on the patio after mentioning we had been waiting for 20 minutes. a gal quickly popped outside, apologized, and took our order. we grabbed the loaded tots, a large queso, two birria tacos, & a chicken taco with a chorizo taco. we ate as bussers came by to fill our waters, but still were assigned no waiter ? we then had piled our dishes up to attempt to show we were ready for the check. a waitress for the table next to us swung by asking if we were waiting in any other food, but we just asked for the check. it was extremely hard to want to tip as we had no clue if we even had a waiter, was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever seen. during the whole dinner, we watched every other table be greeted, watched a table behind us order within 6 minutes, and be cashed out in a timely manner. the service all around was a flop: we were never offered a comp on any item and just paid without tipping. super strange that no management had reached out to discuss this evening ….. super weird that they won’t discuss now, 4+ weeks later

Update: After my disastrous first visit I contacted them on facebook to discuss what happened before leaving my first review. They responded back and were apoligetic BUT after my accidental second visit I can see that they did not take my concerns seriously. 1 star for me and i wont be back ever...not even accidentally. This is my second visit to OSO Paseo. The first was a disaster. We went for a birthday dinner and my toddler touched one of the real cacti that are placed all over behind the seats in the dining area. I spent the entire dinner outside in their beautiful outdoor area picking needles out of her little hand. Now many years later I see not a thing has changed. On the second visit...I appreciate the menu has clearly denoted vegan items. The food is ok. It could use more flavor. I had a cauliflower taco. The waitress and other staff members were all so kind and hard working. One of the men who worked there was son kind with my child and gave her the last of the ketchup thry had for her tutor tots and he went out of his way to give her a Hawaiian Lei that many of the workers were wearing. So the staff is doing very well. The waitress was also very knowledgeable about which items are vegan. The outdoor seating area is very welcoming and we chose to eat outside. I am not trying to be petty in any way but based on how it is not kid-friendly I will not be returning.

EXTREMELY POOR MANAGEMENT !! I went to this place to celebrate my friend's birthday. There were 3 of us. I ordered one drink it had lots of yummy rum in it. However, it also contained molasses. I can't injest molasses without dramatic consequences. I asked the nice young waitress if I could get something else to drink instead, and explained that I didn't see that ingredient. She told me that she would ask the manager to swap it out, but that chances were not good and to expect a refusal. She was right, the manager, whom I never even saw or got to speak with, refused me such a very small & basic request. I have been drinking at bars, clubs and restaurants 25 yrs. longer than this " manager " has been alive. This is the very first time I have been denied to exchange a drink or food item that can make me ill...who does that? The Oso Paseo is who does that. We all tabbed out because & after that happened. We would have spent ALOT more money there. Whoever actually owns this place needs to train and teach about BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE...I will never go back.
