I have been wanting to try this place for quite awhile, but I just haven't made the time but today I did. I did not call in and order ahead instead I read the menu on the door and the specials drink menu on the table to figure out what I wanted. Of course there was more than one donut that I wanted to try. Of course maple being my favorite I had to get the Maple Almond. I also got the Churro and Fritter. I also had to get a to wash these donuts down with so I deduced on the Lavender Rose Tea.
I started with the churro first because it was the cake donut because usually I don't eat those because of the consistency of the middle. However not this time it was nice and airy and light it was a nice change for a cake donut. Then I went for the fritter to be exact, now I have never had a strawberry fritter before I bought so I could try it. I really didn't like the inside of the fritter maybe because I'm used to all of the filling throughout I don't know it just felt like something was missing but the icing was good to go.
Now let me tell you about the Maple Almond Donut. It was so fabulous I don't know.if you can use (fabulous) to describe a donuts but that's what it was. Every inch of the donut was cover in slivered almonds. The amount of sweetness in the maple icing is perfect. The only thing is mine kept falling off of another spot everytime I...
Read moreI walked in Saturday 2/17 at 2pm, noting the door said they were open till 3pm on weekends. I was fourth in line behind 3 women, none of whom got coffee(just donuts.) My turn with Register Woman, I said I wanted a regular coffee in the cup I brought. She hears me, turns away, and starts fooling with grinder ... ah, they have no coffee brewed. She doesn't tell me that tho, just leaves me hanging. So I sit down. Then Barista Woman says listen, its takes about 10 min to brew, would you like an Americano instead for the same price? I said ok thats fine. I wait a few min while she prepares it. Then she asks "Do you want a single or double?" Confused, I said "whatever is fair?? Whats your pour for a coffee? How much is a double?" She said "a double is $4.79," so I said Ill have a single. She finishes a couple minutes later, and says "thatll be $2.79." Take a look at the pic, youll see what I got...I said "this is a single?" She says "yes, thats a 10oz pour." THEN Register Woman turns and says to Barista, "we really don't want to be brewing coffee this late in the day, right?" Seriously!! Don't pretend to be a coffee shop then. For $2.79 this is what I get? Not even up to that low ridge on my 26oz cup. I won't be back. ...
Read moreSo cute!!! I’m new to the area, recently moved here for work, and I saw this place as I was walking to my car from a lunch date with a friend. I was afraid they were closed but nope, they were definitely open! I’m not vegan or vegetarian and thought I’d taste the difference, but you really can’t! If anything they’re better than a “regular” doughnut. The sales associate was so kind and patient with me, she went through all the different doughnuts they had for sale. I got 6 different flavors and was told they keep better in the freezer (it’s just me and there’s no way I can eat 6 in a day). The portions are fairly big compared to chain doughnut shops. I thought it was very reasonably priced, approx. $13 for 6 handmade doughnuts. I don’t know the exact price as I didn’t get a receipt, I didn’t care for a receipt, I just wanted to eat them. I had to dive into the churro doughnut before I even put the car in drive. They warm up perfectly in the microwave, I set it in 7 second increments until warmed through. Despite being a smaller shop the inside feels very open and airy and definitely welcoming. I could see myself sitting here with a friend chitchatting over a delicious doughnut and coffee. Honestly, if you’re in the area you...
