Had dinner at Santos in OKC. Newer spot, higher-end Mexican food but not over the top. Really good food, nice atmosphere. #mexicanfood #oklahomacity #okc #foodreview

(Star-Rating Update: I changed my star-rating only because they are "closer" to 4-stars than they are 3-stars) The limited beer they had available was, well nice...but, unknown from all the so-called local craft breweries I've never heard of. They were out of red's, ambers, and any seasonal Octoberfest style or German beers. They did however have an over abundance of bitter IPA's. After tasting one, it reminded me when I was kid and drinking the leftover Dole pineapple juice out of the can. So what was on draft? The menu stated there was only 6 beers on tap. The rest were poured into a glass from cans which weren't brought to the table. When you reorder, expect an almost 10 minute wait to get your refill. However, the staff are very nice and courteous, but, something needs to be done about the efficiency of their front-of-house POS system. The food? Tasty, but, they're stingy with their serving portions. Their cocktails? Don't expect to find anything familiar when it comes to "standardized/common" cocktail drinks; i.e., martini's, bourbons, whiskeys, etc. Everything on their menu - beer, cocktails, food, etc, - wreaks with pretentiousness. I'm not saying it tastes bad or it's not good. I'm just saying that whatever the heck it is you're ordering is unknown until it's brought out to your table. Because there's nothing "familiar" about their drink OR food menu. What little we did get was very tasty. For me, I just don't know that the 2 beers, 2 cocktails, and a miniscule tahini and toast appetizer was worth the $74 (not including tip) I paid for my wife and I to enjoy in an hour's time.

You've got to check out Palo Santo - this place is an absolute vibe! As soon as you walk in, the dim lighting and flickering candles at each table just wrap you up in a cozy, intimate atmosphere. And the music? Chef's kiss, putting you right in the mood to indulge. But let's talk about the real stars - the food and drinks are really enjoyable. Their small plates are like little flavor explosions in your mouth. The Diablo cocktail is dangerously refreshing, while the Spicy Daisy with its cilantro-tequila kick is wildly unique and craveable. For your main event, the juicy chicken quesadillas with that velvety guac are a must. But the LA Street Dog? Game changer! Bacon-wrapped polish dog smothered in their addictive house mustard alongside loaded fries definitely worth trying. The instant good vibes to the mind-blowing bites, Palo Santo delivers an experience you won't soon forget. Get your crew together this was def we'll worth it for a Wednesday!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 An Absolute Vibe! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Just had the most incredible evening at Palo Santo in OKC! This place truly has it all. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is just perfect—amazing vibes that are both chic and relaxing. It’s the ultimate spot to unwind.

Let’s talk drinks 🍸 because they are next level! We tried a few cocktails and every single one was a masterpiece: •The MEDITERRANEAN TONIC was so refreshing and unique. 🪻 •The WHISKEY SMASH was perfectly balanced and smooth. 🥃 •The PALO SANTO MARGARITA is a must-try – absolutely delicious! 🍈 •And even though I might normally choose something else, their ESPRESSO MARTINI was spot-on and gave me the perfect little boost. ☕

And the food?! Don't even get me started. The happy hour is honestly the BEST in the city. We devoured the CARNE ASADA TACO (so flavorful!) and the chicken QUESADILLA which was packed with amazing flavor, especially with the fresh sides of sour cream, salsa, and guacamole. 🥑 A real surprise standout was the BLACK BEAN HUMMUS—so interesting and unexpectedly delicious! 🤤

Great drinks, incredible appetizers, and the best happy hour. You truly can’t ask for more! Do yourself a favor and check this place out. You will not be disappointed.

Me and my group were simply enjoying a game of pool when, halfway through, closing time was announced. Instead of being given a reasonable chance to finish, we were aggressively pursued by 3-4 waiters and bartenders, practically forcing us out—while employees continued drinking at the bar without issue.

From the start, my server had an arrogant, condescending attitude that immediately set a negative tone. When it came time to pay, I only had Apple Pay, and instead of handling the situation professionally, she accused me of not signing my check—something I hadn’t even been given the chance to do since I was occupied playing pool. The way she acted, you would think we were trying to skip out on the bill. It was insulting, unnecessary, and completely unprofessional.

This type of behavior is absolutely unacceptable in any reputable establishment. My family has owned, I have worked in multiple locations across the state. I have never encountered such blatant disrespect from staff. I understand that every business has different policies, but this wasn’t about policy—this was about employees who were out of line, untrained.. I would strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere unless management makes serious changes.

Other than that. Great drinks....
