Drinks
OnlyFans ($12)
hayman's vibrant citrus gin, citadelle gin, lime juice, passionfruit, pineapple, vanilla, guava, basil. They have managed to balance the drink beautifully where notes of guava and passionfruit give way to complimentary notes of gin and end notes of vanilla and basil. Simply stunning.
Haterade ($11)
tito's vodka, italicus bergamot, melon, lemon, electrolytes. It tastes like adult Gatorade and teases: get those electrolytes and hydrate—while dehydrating in craft cocktail bliss
Tostada ($18)
An absolutely gorgeous salad on a crispy purple corn tortilla. The classic combination of avocado and tuna tantalizes the taste buds with notes of peanut adding contrast and slight delicate acidity coming from the aguachile complimenting the tuna. The inclusion of edamame adds an intermediator flavor and texture firmness that beautifully balances the dish. Crunchy, soft, slightly firm and absolutely delicious.
Chilled Corn Bisque ($12)
Delicate with notes of corn fused with chicken. Slight acidity comes from the tortilla. While the flavors are on the two-dimensional side after a few bites, the bisque is silky smooth with a beautiful juxtaposition coming from the fried jalapeño strips and soft firmness from lumps of chicken.
Pacific Bass ($38)
Beautifully cooked with an exquisitely crispy seared exterior. The delicate bass flavor gives way to notes of buttery beurre blanc—rich, slightly tangy with subtle hints of white wine and shallot—and end notes of dill. The brown butter radish adds a wonderful dimension of texture and flavor in lieu of traditional potatoes, and the snap peas add some sweetness to the dish.
Butter Chicken Pizza ($18)
The crust is on the softer side. The flavor is there with a beautiful balance of rich, creamy tomato-forward butter chicken sauce infused with garam masala, ginger, and subtle heat. Short, sweet, and satisfying.
Honey Toast ($14)
An absolute knockout take on French toast. The milk bread’s perfectly fried exterior gives way to a beautifully soft, slightly sweet interior. Notes of honey and bright yuzu dance on the palate, with lingering end notes of orange and cardamom rounding out each bite.
One of The Jones Assembly’s most compelling traits is its magnetic pull. In a city full of options, it keeps drawing you back—again and again. That gravitational force, the one you feel in your gut when you're circling OKC’s dining map, is the mark of a restaurant that’s more than good. It’s resonant. That’s the difference between a place that impresses and one that endures....
Read moreSo glad I revisited here and could up my review from three stars to five. (Albeit that previous review was from 5 years ago). I love this place! We met for drinks (with about twenty of us trickling in) in the bar area around five o'clock. Bartenders could not have been more helpful or accommodating or quick! I tried the Dagwood Dixie. Good sipping cocktail. Other standouts that got ordered again and again from the group were the Jones 75 (with just the right amount of kick) and Disco Nap (a berry-tequila drink). There was plenty of seating in the lounge area for us.
We then went to the patio/deck area for dinner. We had a large table around the tree and another picnic sized table. Our waiter (our only server) was great, explaining the new changes to the seasonal menu and answering a lot of questions. By now, our group had grown to about 26. For the large size group, I thought service was great. We were not in a hurry at all.
Around our table we tried the Dips & Spreads (always good), the Roasted Brie and the Pot Pie Croquettes. The trio dips is always a great bet but the baked brie was remarkable. I thought the pot pie bites were OK--they tasted like Thanksgiving. They were not the favorite around the table though.
I ordered a glass of wine with dinner and chose the Truffle Mafaldine. Delicious. Others had the breaded pork and the scallops. The Steak Frites dish came out a little too well done. Frites were delicious though.
While we dined and chatted, the dining room inside filled up. It was cool sitting on the deck because we had the outdoor feel and could see into the kitchen area. They were busy all night! The deck, however, remained uncrowded. :)
So glad I returned for this experience. I have friends and colleagues who love this place. I would totally dine here again the next time I'm in OKC!!
(Parking garage is close by and only $5 but upon leaving at 8:30 PM, I didn't have to pay. This was a weeknight though.)
Almost forgot about dessert: we sampled the Cruller Intentions and the banoffee flavored dessert. While the first dessert, a split donut with a large slab of apple was good (tasted like the state fair in the best possible way), the banoffee dessert was amazing. I just had a sample but the coffee ice cream (shaped like a coffee bean) with the super moist banana-chocolate cake along with the caramel sauce was unbelievable. The caramel sauce was amazing! If you see caramel on any of the upcoming seasonal...
Read moreI thought about writing this review long and hard and felt I needed to. I’ve been to this restaurant a few other times and have never been so disappointed and mistreated as I did that morning by your MOD Luis. On 11/02/2024 some of my family came from out of state to visit. I decided to make reservations a few days in advance and bragged about coming here, biggest embarrassment I could’ve experienced and my family felt the let down with not only the food but the service as well. Cheyanne was our server and it seems Luis was the manager that morning. The girl couldn’t really answer the questions we were asking, we had an issue with one of our drinks, a White Russian. When the server brought the drink it looked foamy and stirred like an ice coffee of some kind. The server left and came back with this guy that seemed to be having a bad morning. Luis went on to say that that was the way “we” make them here. My sister asked if they can make it the way it’s made originally and he said,” ok, tell me how you want it and I’ll bring it to you, because this how WE make it!” I’ve been in this industry for over 23 years and I never thought I’d come upon this happening to me anywhere. Whenever Luis returned with the drink, he sat it on the table roughly and said,” here you go, and it’s not stirred(with a snobby look on his face). He walked away and for some reason decided to return for a third time and again ask my sister with a sassy attitude,” is that how you wanted it?” and chuckled. My sister told him it was still not made right and his attitude was not needed. Our server hardly came around, other people there were picking up our plates and asking if we needed anything. With all that went on that day we will definitely not be returning to your establishment. This guys’ actions were completely uncalled for and unacceptable!! We try out different places to have as our go to’s. If you’re not up for working call in or send someone to do your job adequately if you don’t feel up to doing it yourself! We did leave the girl a $20 cash tip and spent over $120 on our brunch that we ended...
