The Loaded Bowl — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

We ordered the orange chicken bowl with an extra side of mac + regular TLB chicken. All of the chicken here is fried and made out of soy protein. The texture was similar to dark meat, chewy and juicy, though not exactly the same as regular chicken (which is perfectly fine!). I enjoyed the seasoning used in the regualr TLB chicken, though my girlfriend found the taste of it to be a bit plain. Mixed with the cashew mac and cheese though, it was delicious and I think went together well. The macaroni was creamy and honestly, I would not notice any difference with it being made of cashew, it literally just tasted like normal pasta, and is probably the most flavorful mac and cheese I've ever had from a restaurant (excluding mac salad from hawaiian places).

The orange chicken was fried the same as the regualr, but they put a sweet sauce on top. I don't think it tasted like oranges, but the meal does come with an orange slice presumably to squeeze onto the chicken. We didn't think to do that though, so we ate the orange slice like normal instead. The sauce was good, I think mixing it with the fried brown rice made it easier for me to eat since I don't like brown rice too much. It wasn't super overpowering or anything, and really added an extra layer to the chicken. The meal also included “grilled” (actually steamed) broccoli, but it was unseasoned and pretty bland.

It was ~$18 for for our meal, which I think was an appropriate price as it was a regular size + side with extra protein. I thought this would be a pretty hipster-y place and would be overpriced, but with that portion size, along with good tasting food, we definitely will be...

No management did not. I yet to receive my refund! Bad business! Better restaurants in the area ..

Don't waste your time... Go to another local restaurant!

Subject: Disappointed with Service and Management Response

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience. After hearing such great things about your establishment, I expected better — but the reality was far from the rave reviews.

I work hard for my money, as do many others in Oklahoma, and when we decide to dine out, we expect our food to be correct and the service respectful. Unfortunately, my order was incorrect and poorly prepared, despite me ordering something I’ve had before and know how it should be served.

Worse, I ordered chips with cheese sauce and salsa, yet the chips were not with order- Just a big bag was handed over and I assume the chips were in there. How exactly am I supposed to eat cheese sauce and salsa with no chips? I couldn’t bring it with me on my flight, so it all ended up in the trash — what a waste of money and time.

To make matters worse, when I contacted the location for help, the general manager was incredibly unprofessional and dismissive. Rather than listen or try to make things right, they hung up on me. That level of customer service is unacceptable.

We work too hard to support businesses that don’t take pride in what they serve or how they treat paying customers. I hope this feedback is taken seriously.

Before hanging up on me he offered to reimburse me for a couple of items but it didn't make up for the waste of the cheese sauce and the hot sauce since I didn't get chips! They would rather be this kind of customer service, then make...

Their food was really yummy but it made both my partner and I sick to our stomachs the next day :( I have a sensitive stomach, so honestly that’s fair!! but my partner normally can eat whatever & be fine, she was sick all day. It seems like something in the protein?

I love that the loaded bowls are really good portion sizes for the price & the variety of the menu was cool! I wish the Mac & cheese bowl had more sauce/creaminess because it lacked sauce aspect, but had good flavor! The key lime cookie pie was delicious as well, best part of the meal!!! Unfortunately, the chicken parm sandwich was a no for us, it’s not even a real patty. It’s soycurls bunched up to look like a chkn patty (it doesn’t look like one) & everything fell out when you took a bite. The sauce & cheese are good but the patty, or lack thereof, was not good.

I just wish they had had a better indoor space for eating there or even better chairs to wait on food. Most of their business is to go, which is fine, but the vibes inside could be way better! We are not from OKC & our lodging was in Norman, visiting for an event. There were only chairs inside, not a table. We couldn’t take our food “home” to eat, so we ate in the car. There’s no table options in the establishment, I think that’s odd? Vegans travel & like to support other vegan establishments as well.

We had great service! The person at the counter was helpful and friendly. It seemed like to-go orders were coming out faster tho. Also loved the LGBTQ flag & support 💝

I would come again tbh but get something else & hopefully not get upset...
