By far the worst Pho/Vietnamese restaurant I've ever eaten at and I've been to a lot! The food was literally inedible. My husband got a stir fry of some sort and I got a vermicelli bowl. My husband struggled through about 1/3 of his then gave up and same for me. The vermicelli noodles themselves weren't too terrible, but the sauce tasted non-existent (literally zero flavor, which is super hard for a fish sauce) and the shrimp tasted fowl. But the kicker of the night was that my vegan husband asked whether there was meat in the fried Vietnamese spring rolls and the waitress told us there was, but there was no meat in the taro spring rolls. Half way through eating the taro rolls, he realized there was meat in them and informed the waitress. She flippantly said sorry and walked off. Then she had the audacity to still charge us for them!
My husband refused to leave a tip of "don't feed vegans meat". She's lucky I wasn't paying.
Oh...oh...forgot to mention that the family of owners were sitting in the corner of the restaurant with their dog (NOT a service dog) freely roaming the entire corner of the restaurant. I love dogs, but dude...not cool!!! Me and my husband sincerely hoped that the beat down, chewed up looking bowls the sauces were served in were not because they were being used as the...
Read moreMy wife and I went yesterday evening. She ordered a water and I ordered a Dr Pepper. We got the steamed dumplings and shared a bowl of pho. The dumplings were cold but we ate them without complaint. The pho was delicious. Are about 2/3rds and I was remarking at how large the pepper flakes were from the pepper oil I added. Then I realized that the pepper flakes I had been consuming were roaches. We flagged a staff member down. She took the bowl to the back and the gentlemen came out. One was friendly but the other began yelling as soon as he was shown the bowl of roaches. He then walked by our table and made eye contact with me while yelling things to me in a different language. The waitress then comes and apologized for the pho. Told us the manager had taken the pho off our check. I looked at the bill and these people had the nerve to try and charge me for my cold dumplings and for 2 soft drinks instead of the one we ordered. I absolutely refused to pay a dime for anything. They began to want to argue about it but I refused to listen at that point. I was disgusted from what I had been eating but now I was disrespected by them expecting payment. There were enough roaches to have zero doubts that they know there is a problem. This is not the first time they have seen roaches in...
Read moreNot a bad little restaurant; way better than the place that was there. I ordered the Grilled Pork Summer Rolls, small P3 (flank, ribeye, and tendon Pho), a Coke, and a Thai tea with Boba to round it all out. Food was served quickly, but it was 2 PM when I sat down to eat. The pork rolls were probably the best I've had, with just enough of each ingredient without one overpowering the other. Thankfully, they included pepper sauce on the table to add to the peanut sauce for the rolls to give it that little extra the rolls needed. The small Pho was just the right size, allowing me to finish it and not be overly full. It could have used maybe a few more pieces of meat as by the end of the bowl, I was eating nothing but noodles despite eating both throughout the bowl in an even amount. The Thai tea with Boba (tapioca pearls, as it is referenced in the menu) was a great way to end the meal. The Boba was soft with just the right amount of chew and the drink was not overly sweet. Tab was $27 after everything, but I did order a lot of food, so the price to value ratio is definitely spot-on. Definitely will...
