Hello reviewers, I have an experience i would like to share on the Pizza Hut at 1630 NW 23rd Street. I go or did go to this place once a week since my company I work for is in the Shepard's Mall. I have been going here once a week for two years now. I come in by myself and say very little. Try to be polite, grab my plates and cup, make my food and drink, eat quickly and keep it moving. Today was not the typical in and out experience I am used to having. There was an older lady working the counter that I personally haven't had to deal with before. She wasn't the friendliest when I walked in. I looked around and saw no pizza out (it was 11:03) and so I asked her if they were having the normal buffet. She condescending tone said "yea at a 11". In my head I was saying " yea, its 11 but okay". I then go to give her a lunch buffet coupon that I got directly off the Mazzio's website that is for this particular store and before even looking at it or reading the code or trying the code, she automatically says she doesn't think they accept those anymore. The manager I am assuming was near....THANKFULLY....(that is why i gave them two stars and not one) because he looked at it and said it should be fine and to enter 493 code to try it...she still continues to complain, voice her opinions etc. but next thing you know it took it....SURPRISE FACE! She was wearing a mask and when I was walking away I said try to smile its a great day...she threw in the comment " I have a mask on" and I said yea well your tone in your voice says it all. Understand this ma'am if you happen to read this. I hope you look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself I love you and I love my job because you sure don't show it for you to be rude and unhelpful in a customer ran industry. Maybe you should make the pizzas or clean the tables so you don't have to talk to customers and be rude, short, condescending and definitely not willing or wanting to be helpful. I have informed my company that the catering for our Law Firm on June 29th will be going with the Pizza Hut just down the street from this Mazzios since I was only able to kill one bird with one stone instead of two. Meaning I went in to eat the buffet and book a catering event for the end of the month. Thank you again ma'am for me not wasting anymore time or money at this particular...
Read moreI cannot fully describe the incompetence of the staff at this location. I ordered over the phone because I had a credit from a previous bad experience. (Door dash driver was assigned to my order, took forever to deliver, and complained about delivering in the city) I ordered and was told it was going to be ~$15 upon delivery, and was hung up on after that. The driver had apparently called and messaged me for about 30-40mins without being able to connect to me. None of his calls came through and a message arrived about 40 mins late. (Why are employees using personal phones that aren't reliable to conduct Pizza Hut business?) I then received a call from the location rudely asking if I was planning on being there or replying to their driver. It was clear they were frustrated, but I don't believe taking that tone with a customer is appropriate off the bat. The food then arrived 2hrs after I had ordered it and the driver showed me his phone logs. Again, why are we using personal phones to conduct business? Additionally, i asked him if the food was still hot, to which he answered, "Yeah, man, it's still hot." We briefly held the soaked cardboard boxes before he asked us to pay cash. (Note: we were not told it was cash only and we're promptly hung up on after being told the price) We ended up not having enough cash on hand, and find it incredulous that they don't have card payment capabilities for deliveries. Rural North Carolina took pizza delivery payments on card. What are we doing here? On top of not getting my original refund from the previous order, i how don't have a credit on my account to show...
Read moreThere will not be a 'Next time' for me.
I ordered an Original Stuffed Crust Pepperoni Pizza with Jalapeños. I could tell that I had been given a pizza that was not fresh, it was already made and had been sitting under a warmer for a while. I could also tell the jalapeños (which were given sparingly) were placed on top of an already made pepperoni pizza, and the pizza was sent through the oven (again) to cook the jalapeños.
The pizza was a dark brown color & it was hard. The sauce on the pizza had dried up almost completely because it had been sent through the oven more than once after sitting out for so long. To sum it all up in a nutshell, the pizza was everything except fresh and delicious.
I'm really not sure what I did wrong to deserve the kind of pizza that was delivered to me, but I paid nearly $40.00 after ordering a pizza, an 8-piece boneless wings, & a 4-pack of mountain dew. Also, if you check my history you'll see that I was a very frequent customer with Pizza Hut, so at the very least, I expected the pizza to be fresh.
I deeply regret ordering from Pizza Hut. Even as I am writing this review, my stomach feels uneasy from last night's pizza. I should have called Pizza Hut and requested an immediate refund, but ultimately I will use this encounter as a lesson learned and I will not order any more food from the Pizza Hut franchise.
If you would like to know what you can do to make the next customer 'highly satisfied', start by disciplining your employees for being lazy and selling non-fresh pizza that they themselves would not eat.
