Scooter's Coffee — Restaurant in Oklahoma City

This review is based on the quality of the drink and that of the service received.

I had my first and only visit during the evening hours fairly recently after getting a promo coupon in the mail. I ordered an Iced Carmelicious drink (frappe?) and informed the drive-thru clerk of my coupon that I would be using. When I got to the window (very quickly, as I was the only car there) the cashier seemed a bit rushed, frazzled and dismissive. Especially considering I was the only car there. I was greeted and asked for the full cost of the drink... I was holding the coupon in my hand and my hand out of the window towards the employee and I again mentioned the coupon and the employee finally seemed to register what I was saying. The employee finally took the coupon and my correctly discounted total, then gave me my drink and my change. Cool, all is well. While they were counting my change I had a taste of the drink... It was decided then that I wouldn't be returning. And I was SO thankful that I was paying attention and didnt end up wasting more money during this experience than I already did.

The name Carmelicious leads you to believe that the drink would taste either A). Like caramel or at least having SOME sweetness, or B). Delicious, in any capacity. Well surprise! This drink was a disgusting, bitter, disappointment.  There was a small amount of caramel drizzled across the top of the drink, so I paused my previous assessment once again hopeful that this wasnt a waste of time and money, and I stirred in the (I'd estimate a tablespoon's worth?) caramel. This did nothing. The drink was terrible. The coffee had a bitter and/or burnt taste to it, and there was no caramel or creaminess or anything to make this drink delicious by any standard.

The technical aspect of things could easily be dismissed and forgotten about if the product itself was good... unfortunately, this entire experience was annoying...

I loooove this place!! Sorry not sorry, but I will never again wait in a 30 min Starbucks line when I can come here, wait at most 2-5 min, and get amazing coffee or espresso! Their espresso is never burnt and is always so fresh!! I love the people at the window everytime! The bacon burrito and caramelicious muffin are my faves! Their maple vanilla and holiday caramelicious spice lattes are my go to drinks during this season! I can order a medium (that's a grande with 2 shots of espresso and yuminess with almond milk) for only $6.25! That my friend, is the least expensive latte - made perfectly and so crazy fast - you'll see in this neck of the woods! So grateful for this place! Every single time I'm either rushed to get somewhere or just wanting something warm and comforting, they offer the best consistent service... Definitely stop by one of their many locations soon! You will leave thinking, "Why am I just now knowing about this place?" It's ok...I thought the...

I've been here a few times and the coffee is good enough (I'm not wildly picky and just drink black coffee), but they really are quite positive/optimistic in the service department.

Today was my first "bad" experience there as they were running out of brewed coffee on my order but they gave me options for how to remedy it (Americano or a smaller cup of coffee), were quick to offer a refund when I choose a smaller cup, and eventually just gave me a free small cup of coffee because it took a minute to process the refund. All the while, they were friendly and communicative to me, kind to one another as the person at the window needed help doing a refund, and I left in a better mood than when I had arrived just because they were so optimistic. You can't always teach employees to be kind but you can create an environment that encourages it and this place seems to...
