Update:
Positive review: It was raining on Monday, 8/25/25 when they were closed and I wanted some comfort food. I had no choice but to go somewhere else for my Chinese food fix. I didn’t realize just how spoiled I was with Yummy Yummy’s food until I had to settle for some place else. The difference was so unmistakable. Yummy Yummy’s food is 5-star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ on flavor, ingredients, fried in fresh oil evidently. Excellence is abundantly clear in quality of product. I went and got my fix today, 8/26/25 and was so grateful that I have access to the best Chinese food! And Alex, the young woman up front, is so pleasant and I am grateful also for her service there. It’s difficult to find friendly, genuine people these days, but she makes it smooth and easy! END UPDATE.
This is tasty! (Zhè zhēn hào chī!)
Food is good! I enjoy 🥕 vegetable 🌽 dishes. The veggie lo mein and mixed vegetables entree are my go to! I could drown myself in the hot and sour soup because it’s so good and a fan of mushrooms 🍄🟫 of which there are plenty. Crab Rangoon and Spring Rolls! 😋
Service is great! Steven has been there for a long time while Mia and Alex and Catrina are all newer. They are all great. I enjoy going in there and seeing them because they are friendly and professional and work quickly but if not busy will have a friendly, short chat.
Atmospehere: I have lived in the neighborhood since May of 2016 (9 years) and I have watched this neighborhood Chinese restaurant transform into the top rated Chinese restaurant. It was a hole in the wall at first. Gradually, it became a beautiful place! I enjoy the ambience with the TV with a different GORGEOUS picture for screen saver every day. The ceiling tiles above the doorways are flowered, decorative lighted panels! Organization seems to be functioning very well. And they are almost always busy which means they are doing well.
Presentation : The food is packaged well. It is also packaged efficiently. It is always very hot, which is comforting. At times, I have seen the food packaged in the thermal, reusable bags! They always seal the food for delivery orders to avoid contamination . Great attention to detail!
Price: “You get what you pay for” is a great explanation. The whole experience warrants the prices compared to other places in OKC.
I have eaten here more times than I can count and I can’t remember a single bad experience. All have been good! Very happy customer! Thanks Steven and the girls for all the great...
Read moreI ordered a large pork fried rice that was $10.95 for a quart. Why is the rice yellow it’s not in Michigan? The rice was dry and over-greasy. Maybe tossed in a microwave? It barely had any pork in it, just a few pieces of peas, carrots and onions. No egg or bean sprouts in it like a Metro Detroit Michigan Chinese carry out would. And they don’t or any other place around here makes an Almond chicken dish like they do in Detroit. The Big batter deep fried chopped chicken breast laying on a bed of iceberg lettuce, sliced almonds and homemade chicken gravy dipping sauce on the side. Famous in the Detroit area. I don’t understand why they have such high reviews here in Oklahoma. I guess they’ve never tried a Chinese restaurant from the Michigan area. Total rip off! The Egg drop/wonton soup “mix of both” that they only have in Oklahoma, Anywhere else it’s just one or the other that was almost 6 dollars for a quart. The meat was very low quality lots of gristle or fat in it and no flavor. The Egg drop was not good at all. Sometimes I used to get the Szechuan shrimp and it seems like the shrimps are already pre-cooked they don’t taste like they’re fresh, they are not juicy in texture. They just keep them pre-cooked and then stir fry it in their bland watery Soy sauce. I would always tip it on its side, crack the lid to let the watery sauce come out. Then continue to eat it. The places in Ann Arbor Michigan would always have a sauce that tasted more flavorful and thick. If I order that same dish from another Chinese restaurant it will be fresh not pre-Cooked and all dried out. I understand because of the pandemic prices is have increased. I’ve purchased food from another Chinese carry-out place in OKC. They tell me the prices on food supplies have gone up. Ok but still… The quality and quantity is just not good at Yummy Yummy. You might as well just go any buffet. My total came to $17.63 for a lousy soup and over priced fried rice....
Read moreI've ordered here before and the food is outstanding. But. I have a problem with the online order process. On Christmas day they were open I thought because of the online order. I placed my order and waited. Said it would be 30 to 45 minutes. Cool. Didn't mind. 1.5 hours went by and I figured it wasn't going to come because it was Christmas and maybe they were really closed so I made a something for myself. 30 minutes later they called and said it would be delivered in 30 to 45 minutes . I sId I want to cancel the order. Another person called 10 minutes later and said the same thing. I said I just told someone else that I canceled my order. Please cancel it. I never received my order and thought it was all good. I looked at my bank statement and seen that even tho I didn't receive my order they still charged me. I called and they said they would check it out and call me back. They didn't. I called the next day and they said we will take care of it. Because of the holidays please allow 3 to 4 days. I did. And still nothing. No refund and no one called to do anything. I will never order from this place again using the online delivery system. My bank is going to take care of the charge and this post will do the rest. Do not order online. They keep your money even if you don't...
