My husband and I had dinner here on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant was not crowded (I know they do take carry out orders, and I believe they prepare appetizers for the Rotunda Bar next door). After we were seated, the waitress took our drink orders. We only wanted water. After about 15 minutes another waitress asked if we had been taken care of. We said we placed a drink order but had not received it. We were also ready to order. She told us that a team meeting had been called so she would get it. After another 5 minutes the original waitress brought our water. I don't know, but a team meeting while patrons are being served seems unusual. We both ordered salads and burgers w/side. We asked for onions on the burgers since they do not come that way. She said she would check and upcharge us for onions to make sure they were on the burgers. That was fine. We again waited for what seemed like a long time. And, I might add that they are consistent in one way. Consistently slow. Well, we got the burgers. No salad. We cancelled the salad orders. We expected it before the meal. No onions on the burgers. Overall, a very very slow and incorrect dinner experience. Then I take out my $$off coupons Winstar mails each month. The waitress came back and asked if we had already used it. I said certainly not. Come to find out, I had made a mistake with the coupon, as it was for July instead of June. MY MISTAKE. I apologized. Read moreMy experience was one with a lot of contention. There were 5 of us. We were served awful tasting fried eggs for breakfast (tasted old or spoiled). We sent them back and new ones were cooked and brought to us. The first thing I did was taste the yolk, and still bad. I had the taste left in my mouth for most of the morning. I sent it back and didn’t order anything else. When the bills came, they charged me for coffee, and the other party with bad eggs, that sent theirs back a 2nd time as well, were charged for coffee, a biscuit. Gravy. I looked at the waitress and asked to speak to the manager. That’s when the fun really began. The manager came out and said, hello, and I told her a shortened version of the story. Most managers would have said, oh by all means, let me at least take care of your coffee. NO, the polar opposite. She said “did you drink that coffee?”, I said yes (of course I sat and watched the rest of my party enjoy their breakfast), then she said, in a very abrupt confrontational way, “Well, you OWE us for that coffee.” I said “well, I’m not paying for this coffee”. She then stated: “well I’m going to call the Stop Loss department (or something like that). And I said “you do what you need to do”. I left and didn’t pay for the coffee. Read moreSo this is 2 visits in one review. Last time we visited this place was for my wife's birthday. They took forever to get our food to us and when my wife's plate arrived it had a roach front and center of her plate like it it had been intentionally placed there for decoration. My wife immediately told the server. I mean 2 seconds after she put her plate on the table. She had not finished putting our plates down when my wife told her. Now I did not want to make a scene so we were discrete with dealing with this. The manager came and gave us a card that had 2 free entrays for our next visit. Now we returned and ofcourse different manager that now did not even want to deal with us and just walked to the table and said he could not accept that. I am only giving it 2 stars because the food was not bad yesterday just took too long. I will never return to this place as I cannot support a business that has no integrity. If they do this to your face imagine what they do where you cannot see them, in the kitchen or the ingredients they buy I mean the roach alone proofs you do not know what goes on behind the scenes terrible experience expected much better customer service from an establishment of this caliber.
