Food is pretty good here. The beef and broccoli is a standout because you can actually chew the beef! Most chinese retos we have visited give you what amounts to beef jerky and isn't even edible. So Panda is far above the rest in that category. The Walnut Shrimp is very tasty as well, especially if your are lucky enogh to get a decent amount of walnut in there. It's hit and miss. But with the recent reports of irradiated shrimp appearing across the country, we don't know the origins of this seafood and have stepped back from ordering this one. That's no fault of Panda, it's just the market situation. They could make this a selling point if they can guarantee radiation-free shrimp though! Good 'ol Fukushima. The family meal is a good deal even without the occasional promo. We manage to eat a few days on the family meal just by making some plain rice at home to fill it out. Having an onion allergy in the family is tough sometimes. I always liked that Panda didn't use a lot of onions. But this last time, the fried rice was full of green and white onions. It really ruined the flavor as well as causing everyone indigestion. I'll have to check if there is a way to order it without onions, but I doubt it. So we will probably be visiting less due to that...
Read morePanda has really declined over the years. Not sure what happened. It's never been a healthy option, but it used to taste good. The Chow Mein was dry and without flavor. Hardly anything in it either. The Orange Chicken was hollow in flavor. After the initial foretaste there was nothing there. Maybe it was old. Beijing Beef used to be their flagship, but it was also dry and had an oily taste. Very bland too. Honestly it was the very least enjoyable visit than at any time in the past I'd been. And this is finishing a slow decline.
Service was standard. Not good or bad. Cleanliness was so so. Just a below expectations visit.
If anything, it was good for my kid as the noodles had so little veggies in it, they really liked it. It can be affordable. If you combine options, like ordering a Bigger Plate and a side of noodles, you can feed two for less than $20 , which is...
Read moreI wish I could give less than a 1 star. 1130 on 6/3 and these folks had no food. I guess I shouldn't say no food, there was food. Just not enough to fill the meals and about 3/4 of the warmers had nothing in them. They had teriyaki chicken, but missing 1 key ingredient...the teriyaki. I was told it would be 20 minutes before any sauces were ready. You opened at 1030, what was going on the first hour? What a joke, if I had seen a manager we would have talked. I'm not wasting my time talking to a kid about the epic failure of a restaurant. If I worked here or had my name attached to this establishment in any way I'd be embarrassed. I had to walk out after they filled my to go box. I wouldn't have had them put any food in the box had I known they had no food. In closing, look at your management. You may need to go scorched earth...
