Papa Murphy's — Restaurant in Olathe

It was a typical Friday evening, and after a long week, I decided to treat myself to a delicious pizza from Papa Murphy's. The idea of a freshly made, bake-at-home pizza sounded perfect. As I walked into the store, the mouthwatering aroma of dough and toppings filled the air.

Behind the counter stood Preston, a young man with a friendly smile. "Welcome to Papa Murphy's! How can I help you today?" he asked warmly. His upbeat attitude was immediately uplifting, and I felt at ease.

I browsed the menu and decided on a large Chicken Garlic pizza, my favorite, MM MM MM. As Preston began preparing the pizza, we started chatting. He was genuinely interested in how my day was going and what led me to choose Papa Murphy's. Our conversation flowed effortlessly from our favorite pizza toppings to the best places to visit in our town.

Preston shared that he was a high school, working part-time to save up for a trip to Europe. His passion for travel was infectious, and I found myself sharing stories of my own travels. Time seemed to fly by, and before I knew it, an hour had passed. Despite the steady stream of customers, Preston managed to balance our conversation and his work seamlessly.

When it was time to pay, I mentioned that I would be using my EBT card. Preston gave me a weird look then Preston assured me that it was no problem at all and efficiently processed the transaction without a hitch. His professionalism and understanding made the experience even better.

As he handed me the pizza, perfectly prepared with a generous amount of toppings and cheese, I thanked him for the exceptional service and enjoyable conversation. "Enjoy your pizza!" Preston said with a smile. "And feel free to come by anytime. I'd love to hear more about your travels."

Walking out of Papa Murphy's, I felt uplifted. Not only did I have a delicious pizza to look forward to, but the pleasant interaction with Preston had turned an ordinary pizza pickup into a genuinely delightful experience. I always order online and pickup so I never have to wait. The food and dough always taste fresh. The staff always greets us and is always friendly. The place always seems clean. Every time I see them working with the food, they always have gloves on and proper cleanliness practices are in place (no hair down, beards covered etc). Only complaint is I think the sizes changed or something because the family sized pizzas are more like a large sized now. Will be calling to clarify. $18 is quite a bit for a such a small pizza compared to past experiences. The concept of a take and bake pizza was new to me. Manager Tommy couldn’t have been any friendlier. I was immediately greeted by him upon coming through the door. He immediately turned my skepticism into being one of the biggest fans of Papa Murphy’s. Tommy took the time to ensure I got exactly what I wanted. The business was spotless from the top down.
