We had a really frustrating experience with our Panera order tonight — but I have to give HUGE credit to Victor, the manager at the Old Bridge location, for turning the whole thing around. We had ordered dinner through the Panera app around 8 p.m., expecting it to arrive by 9. When it didn’t show up, we checked the store hours and realized they actually closed at 9 — which made us panic a little. We called the store and spoke to Victor, who was so kind and apologetic. He explained that the DoorDash driver never picked up our food and it had just been sitting there. We were super disappointed — it was pouring rain, we were hungry, and it was getting late. But instead of brushing us off, Victor was patient and understanding. He offered a refund if the food didn’t make it, and after some back and forth, we decided to drive there ourselves to pick it up. Unfortunately, just as we got there, the Dasher had picked it up a minute before. Victor, who was literally standing outside in the rain after his shift, was still so sweet. Even though none of this was his fault, he apologized over and over and offered us some leftover mac and cheese, bread, and other extras — and STILL refunded our meal. He handled everything with so much grace and kindness, even though he was clearly exhausted. We were so upset when the night started, but thanks to Victor, we left feeling seen and taken care of. He honestly saved the night for us. People like him are rare. Thank you, Victor — you turned a really bad experience into one that reminded us how much a little...
Read moreI just cannot believe how unprofessional this place is. Horrible. There was a group of college girls doing work on their computer. The manager (I don’t know the name) but tall white MAN wearing a beige button up should get in A LOT of trouble for what I observed today. Shame on you. One of the girls LAUGHED and I was sitting right next to them remind you. One of them laughed NOT EVEN LOUD and the manager came over to their table and had the NERVE to tell them to “lower their voices other people are in the dining room”. In a extremely demanding nasty tone. First of all those girls weren’t even laughing remotely LOUD AT ALL and the only other person in the dining room was me. I feel bad for the people who work for this man because has a bad attitude problem and is going through a POWER TRIP. “MANAGER” whoever you are- how DARE YOU say that to those GIRLS. THEY WERE NOT EVEN BEING REMOTELY LOUD. Not only that but he PROFILED THESE GIRLS thinking that they would just say OK which they did “because they are young.” If those girls were a family or an older woman or a MAN LIKE HIMSELF he would never have the nerve to go up to them and say something like that. POWER TRIP. GET A LIFE!! Shame on you shame on you. I would report you if I knew your name. I’m a 45 WOMEN I WISH YOU WOULD HAVE SAID...
Read moreI have visited twice this month at the Old Bridge NJ location n twice disappointed. When placing the order at the terminal it wouldn't take a cc. I tried two different cards. Then I decided to go to the counter to order n decided to mention it to the staff member. She looked and didn't care. I said i mentioned it because you may to say something to your mgr. At that moment a woman standing next to me says that her machine wasn't working either n then later says that the items were less than ordering at counter. As i pickup my bag i realized there was no cup for my drink and had to ask and they pointed towards the register. Then there was a worker at the pickup, searching for days inside the sealed bags with no gloves. There were no napkins available n when i opened my sandwich in the car i was amazed on how little chicken was in my chicken chipotle melt. Shocked with 3 tiny shredded pieces. I opened my Caesar salad n was even more shocked. All this for almost $13.00. Management needs to step it up. I understand the economy has changed but the portions are ridiculous for the price you...
