Just had lunch and left not just disappointed, we left in shock. Me, my two children and my mother-in-law have had the worst experience. We came in around 1:15 pm and were set in the dining room. A busser came and brought us water. Our server didn’t come to the table for at least 15 minutes after that. She finally came and took our drink order, didn’t come back with the drinks for a while, as she did I noticed my wine glass was very dirty looking. The Bloody Mary my mother-in-law ordered tasted as if it was virgin which was not the way she ordered it. My daughter had Mac’n’cheese which was very dry. My sons cheeseburger came with no cheese and when I asked the food runner why is there no cheese he said you have to ask for it…ok..weird. he brought us two slices on the side.. My salmon salad was drenched in dressing and the greens were all wilted and rotten. My mother-in-law had a dragon roll burrito and it was simply gross. All the ingredients looked moshed. The only thing that tasted good were the fries. And the cheeseless cheeseburger was ok.. when our server came back (after quite some time) and we told her we were unhappy with our food she has gone to get the manager. We were left with all the food in front of us waiting for the manager to come. As she arrived a little while later l was shocked with how rudely she spoke to us. She didn’t come to fix the situation. She came to fight. She argued with us and was extremely defensive and argumentative about everything we have mentioned, with the attitude as if we were a nuisance to her. She ended up taking off 50% of the dishes we barely touched. And never took the plates of food no one enjoyed from the table. The server came back with the check but never came back to take care of it. Also has left us with the plates sitting on the table. I have asked her for a managers card but she said she doesn’t think the manager has one. I asked what her (managers) name was and was told it’s Kerry. After waiting and waiting for our server to come back I had to go to the bar to get change so I can pay and leave. The server was nice, but the manager was unforgivably unprofessional, rude and made us never ever want to go back there. I would love to be able to contact the owners and let them know how poorly this situation...
Read moreI can't even leave a one star review for this restaurant. I have been in many Little Pubs across the state. I will never go back to this one. I was accused of stealing. Its that simple. My wife and I came into the pub last weekend for an early dinner. Jay was our server. I see that Jay has recieved bad reviews in the past. Interesting. We each had a glass of wine and ordered our food. We ate our food and had another glass of wine. When we got our bill we handed over our discount card that we received from the pub at Christmas with 5% off. When we got our bill it had 5 glasses of wine on it. We asked Jay and he said well I gave you a free one and I feel like I gave you three glasses apiece. We disagreed and said he was in error. He said well I have not been drinking. What? Are you kidding me? That's not too rude and condescending is it! We agreed to disagree and he adjusted the bill. We left a tip on the amount before the discount. This did, however, not sit well with us. I can go to any restaurant I want on the shore line and I don't expect to be called a liar. Then as we sat and finished out second glass of wine another bartender made a comment is everyone happy now? We called Kerri when we left the restaurant. We explained the situation. I asked her to check the film on the camera. She said she would and would call back. No call back. I called on Monday. Oh yes I'm busy right now I can't talk to you. Okay she is going to call me later. I ask did you look at the tape? Yes, and you were right only 2 glasses. So then I hear nothing I call back and she says that she talked to Jay and that he was wrong but I'm not firing him over this. That's it! That's all we got. So I will say that this particular building has seen many restaurants come and go. I see other bad reviews for this Little Pup. Maybe more will come and they will leave the shoreline. Go to Luigi's and see Danny or Lenny or Bill Seafood to see Eddie or Westbrook Lobster to see Matt and Sarah and Melba! and get treated like the hardworking customer you are!!! See what's missing here they are not local they don't care who you are. Take note of the GMs responses to bad reviews. Oh...
Read moreI would highly recommend choosing Little Pub for a private event. We were getting married in Old Saybrook and wanted to find a restaurant to host our rehearsal dinner. Once we ate at Little Pub, we knew we wanted to have our rehearsal dinner there. The food was great and the interior of the restaurant is very cute. We then met with the manager and told them our budget. They were extremely flexible with us. We opted to have room dividers up and take up a portion of the main dining area. It was great - pretty much like we had a completely private space. We honestly didn’t put too much thought into the rehearsal dinner after doing months of wedding planning, but Little Pub thought of every single detail. They had us select appetizers and entrees from their menu to curate a specialized menu for our guests. We had open beer and wine, as well as soft drinks. They also decorated with flowers, arranged the tables in a position where we could all sit together, and had a table set up for our gifts. The food was amazing, which you’ll know for a fact if you have ever eaten there. But what stood out to us the most was the service. We had a dedicated server, Veronica, as well as Tony and other staff members who helped us throughout the night. No glass was ever empty, no person was left unattended. They kept checking in with us, let us know that we could stay longer than our time, and were extremely kind and helpful all night long. We are getting married tonight, but I honestly would have been happy if that was our “wedding” because of how special they made it for us. Thank you to the Little Pub staff - it was a great night! We will be back time...
