Came last year for a belated Valentines dinner and decided to come again for this year! We made a reservation in advance, ended up being during a snow storm and us mixing up our reservation times but we had no problem being seated by very friendly staff. Our server Erin was very polite, helpful, and friendly. We have been waiting a year to order an app of warm bread and garlic dressing to dip (different from the garlic bread). We love this!! The garlic dip is so refreshing and tasteful. I ordered the penne alla vodka, the pasta was cooked more on the harder al dente side than I preferred but it tasted better left over the next day. I even added some of the garlic dressing on top of my pasta. They serve the garlic dip in pint or quart sizes for take away which we left with a pint in hand. Tastes just as good at home as it does in the restaurant. We each ordered a martini as well, I had a pistachio martini, although it did not taste much like pistachio I very much enjoyed it, it was creamy but did not sit too heavy. My boyfriend ordered an Italian Manhattan martini which was very strong and could’ve been considered two drinks in one. All in all, we have not yet been disappointed with the service and look forward to coming again for next year’s valentines celebration.

Last night we made a visit to Luigi’s for dinner on a recommendation, and we were unfortunately disappointed with our experience. It started off great with warm bread and a very fresh garden salad with a delicious creamy garlic dressing. We loved the variety of pasta and sauce choices on the menu, but when I visit a new place, I personally like to try their marinara to see if they can nail the basics. My friend wanted a lighter dinner, so she chose angel hair with aglio e olio and broccoli rabe. After a few bites of my cavatelli, I couldn’t get past how undercooked it was. The texture was throwing me off, and the marinara was okay, but not impressive. I asked my friend how her’s was and she had me try a bite. We thought her dish was flavorless, and there was so much water at the bottom of the dish that the pasta was swimming in. The place was packed, so we were really surprised that we were this unhappy. Maybe it was an off night, and maybe we’ll try the pizza or another dinner sometime. But we definitely won’t be ordering a pasta dish again.

Driven by many times but never knew if it was handicap accessible..Decided let's just try it. I'm so glad we did. There are three options for seating. Outside, bar, and dining area. We chose the dining area. Was seated. Menu had lots of options. I chose Chicken Piccata, and my boyfriend chose a 6 cheese pasta dish. Waitress was very engaging and catering. We really enjoyed our food and the entire experience. Meals came with vegetables. Soup or salad and bread. Very warm, crusty Italian bread. Super yummy. Great night. Everyone from beginning to end was fantastic. As we left, the hostess asked how we liked our meals and opened the door for us. It's the little things that make you feel so welcome. It's totally a redo place This restaurant closed down for a bit to renovate. After reopening, I couldn't wait to see what was done with the place. Just beautiful inside and more seating. The food was still as good, and the service was outstanding.

Seems to be a staple in old saybrook. I've had their spaghetti and meatballs before and it was pretty good. They are one of the few restaurants left that makes fresh bread and serves it right away after you order. They seem to be just getting up and running from the pandemic and seem to be a bit short-staffed so the service wasn't terrific but they were doing their best. There are other Italian restaurants in town but I have heard about this one from numerous people and wanted to try it. They have a little patio area outside where you can eat if it's not too chilly. We had the spaghetti and meatballs with an extra piece of sausage and the sausage was very good. They cook the spaghetti all the way which I like and I didn't have to ask them to do it the way I like it. I do not like pasta cooked al dente. So they did it the way I like it without having to ask. The salad was just okay it tasted like a bag salad but maybe it wasn't. The salad dressings were okay did not taste like they were homemade. The portion size was quite generous. Surprise for spaghetti and meatballs was quite reasonable although some of the dinners go up to probably 25-26. The waitress was accommodating but she was overtaxed with too many tables to take care of as things open up from the pandemic. We still left a 20% tip even though she probably didn't deserve it since she made us wait so long each time. But I am sure they will get more up and running. Try it. It...

This place is a hidden gem. The food is delicious 😋 and they use local small businesses for the ingredients they use. Everything is made from scratch. Even their bread is out of this world. This is a great place to take your family for dinner, grab apps and drinks with friends and also perfect for a romantic date night. I just found this place months ago and they said they just did a renovation. Its just beautiful in there. The staff are very friendly and all dressed neat and clean. It adds to the whole style. The best part is that this place is family owned and they all work together. The photos they have on the wall you can see their generations grow and how some of them work there with the rest of their family. Like I said earlier I just found this place like 2 months ago and I've ordered out 3 times and eaten in twice and everytime the food is amazing. One time I ordered out and the order was wrong and they refunded me the money, remade the dish and gave us $5 off coupons to return. And I didn't even make a fuss about it. It just really shows you how much they value their customers and take pride in their business. This is how all restaurants should run. We will definitely...
