Craft Beer Kitchen may be a new concept—they only have two locations, but I bet they will grow. The service was top-notch starting with the hosts warmly greeting us and bidding us adieu. Our server was friendly, fun, and attentive. And the manager know how to engage patrons to get to know them and make them feel welcomed and taken care of—which is a dying art for most other places.
Right off the bat, when I sat down, I noticed brown—a lot of brown in the restaurant from the walls, floors, tables, the servers’ shirts, etc. Not a big deal, but I found it a little funny. I started with a flight of four beers ($10): Cigar City Jai Alia IPA, Escape Brewery The Other West Coast IPA, Motorworks Rolled Cage Red Ale, and Tampa Bay Brewing Co. Reef Donkey Pale Ale. All the beers were good, clean, crisp ales and complimented the foodfare served at this restaurant. My only recommendation would be to expand the craft beer offerings because that could be a draw for people to this type of restaurant.
I ordered their Craft Burger ($9) for a humanely-raised, antibiotic- and hormone-free prime beef, local tomatoes, lettuce, onion, served on a brioche bun, with a side of rough-cut potato salad. You can also get a lot of interesting and delicious burger toppings, for an extra charge, but I recommend going hog-wild. Also, you can sub out the potato salad for an alternative from a robust and unique set of selections for $0.99 extra. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium and was seasoned perfectly—I loved it, so many restaurants overcook burgers, but Craft Street nailed it. I opted for their “shoestring” fries and was glad I did—they were delicious and extra crispy. However, I wouldn’t classify them as “shoestring,” because I think of spaghetti-looking fries, Like the ones at Steak ‘n Shake. Either way, they were great. My wife ordered the Figster Salad ($14) made up of pecan-crusted chicken, port-marinated figs, Bartlett pears, candied pecans, gorgonzola, mixed greens, spinach, and dressed with a port fig vinaigrette. She loved it and kept grunting on how good it was, like Meg Ryan in the movie When Harry Met Sally. Our kids ordered cheeseburgers ($6) and fries (you can sub fries out for fresh fruit) and they loved them. Their burgers were made from the same premium ingredients as mine and parents appreciate that.
Overall, this is a great place, for great food, in a great environment. The manager/owner created a fun, live, and engaging restaurant where his great attitude permeates throughout his staff and flows to the patrons enjoying their dining experience. They are...
Read moreI stop in at Craft Street Kitchen (CSK) at least once a week so this review will either come off as a little bias or well-educated. The menu is unique and expansive. I have yet to order something I didn’t like. They do a great job of coming up with new specials every month which are always surprising and never disappoint. While my choice of entrée rotates nearly every visit, the Sweet Potato Tots topped with Short Rib are a must for an appetizer. The burgers and flatbreads are on special Mondays and Wednesdays respectively and you really can’t go wrong with either. If I told you the food was the best part about this place it would only be half true. The service here is second to none. I’ve always had a great experience whether I was sitting at the bar or with a party of anywhere from 2-10. Regardless of how busy this place gets (and it gets busy) the staff does an incredible job of making sure everyone is satisfied. My go to spot is usually at the bar and the bar staff is impeccable. Shameless but deserved name dropping (I can’t play favorites) : Nick, Cecilia, and Justin are always on point and knowledgeable when it comes to cocktails, beer, wine, bourbon, and food options. The manager, Tre, stops by almost every visit to make sure everything is copacetic. The drink menu is impressive. CSK has a great selection of bourbon that’s priced well and they have their own Barrel Picks of some Kentucky staples. The Smoked Old Fashioned and Blackberry Bourbon Lemonade are both solid choices. Lastly, dessert. It doesn’t matter what you order, you’re going to love it. The desserts are rich and portioned to be shared. The most recent one I had was a generous slice of Maple Bourbon Cheesecake that had an entire pumpkin baked into it and the bottom crust was a Blondie. I have no idea how they come up with some of the menu items but like I said, the specials are always surprising. Pictured are the Sweet Potato Tots topped with Short Rib. A generous pour of the infamous Blantons Single Barrel. The empty dish was their Salmon that was on special for the month of October. I honestly forgot to take a before photo so I figured this after photo would be enough evidence to show anyone how good it is
P.S. The brunch is great too. That deserves its own review entirely. Check out Craft Street...

This place is a Tampa Bay treasure—rustic-chic vibes, a patio perfect for soaking up those Florida nights, and dishes so craveable they deserve their own fan club. Buckle up, because this meal was a wild ride! Brad, our server and certified legend, welcomed us with a smile that could outshine the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.
