Country Pizza Italian Grill (Oldsmar) — Restaurant in Oldsmar

Nothing wrong with the food, but their point-of-sale system is in need of some major corrections.

I ordered a Chicken Parm Grinder (sub) online through their website, indicating that I would pick up at their restaurant — I did NOT select any delivery options. It asked me for my name, email address, and credit card info. It told me my order would be ready in approximately 30 minutes.

When I arrived at the restaurant, I was told “Tim” already came and picked up my order 15 minutes ago. They said their only other pickup order was for an eggplant parm with a pizza, and that was for a woman’s name who sounded nothing like mine. The worker at the register said they’ve been having this problem a lot lately.

They couldn’t explain how my order was given to somebody else, or how this person would know that an order for “Tim” would even be waiting. They said they would make me another and throw in free fries, but would be a while to cook. I left to do another errand and came back approximately 25 mins after that.

I’m not comfortable that someone had access to my order information, and potentially my credit card information from the order details. The clerk at the front said it was possible she volunteered to the person that there was an order waiting for “Tim” and was he that person, but she wasn’t sure of that either. If this has been happening a lot lately, it seems their issue is systemic. If I were the owner, I would be concerned that my online POS system (Square Space) was compromised.

They were friendly and apologetic about the issue, but the extra wait was an inconvenience I’d rather not have had to endure. I submitted my own complaint to Square Space regarding this transaction, and notified my card issuer about a possible fraud exposure.

If I were the owner, I wouldn’t be putting up with people randomly coming through the front door and claiming food left and right and walking out the front door with it knowing there’s been a substantial amount of fraud in these encounters. Rather than constantly sending free food out the door and burning my existing customer base, I’d want to know EXACTLY what my employees were saying to people coming through the front door claiming food pickups. I would also demand a complete forensic review of my POS system with the vendor to understand where there is any exposure of customer information coming either from within or outside the business.

While I’m sympathetic with the business owner that they’re enduring this problem, they shouldn’t be continuing to put their customers through this and hurting their image in...

Wonderful waitress so kind, right there with a drink refill, she was so kind as it was our first time there. My mother & I took her advice & shared a small pizza & seriously we were instantly in love as it tasted just like homemade pizza, it was delicious!! We told the waitress we were adopting her & making this place our mom & daughter weekly date night!!! It's that great & so clean & classy!!!

Visited again & blessed to see Jaliyah again!! She is the kindest, sharpest young woman I have ever met, just to her core a great human being. I walked in tonight a bit overwhelmed & trying to act calm & cool when I felt like crying...then Jaliyah walks up to us & I lit up remembering her from our wonderful first visit & she remembered us too, instead of the small we ordered the XL "Special" pizza had to bring some home its just so good, the ice tea with lemon I love so much & I don't usually "love" any drink but oh its good tea, then pizza as fresh as flavorful as good if not better than homemade & with prices as they are, we haven't made homemade pizza for way over 20-30 years & now we never have to again as I'd rather have a gorgeous relaxing clean restaurant having bits of wonderful conversation with Jaliyah then to make a pizza at home this place deserves your business these are good people here, nicest peaceful relaxing meal why go any where else?! This location is #1 for us, Jaliyah is a bright diamond I can not say enough about her, as she is that great - she changed the entire poor direction my day was going in & I felt brighter, stronger & generally felt better, I was a better person leaving this fantastic place tonight. Sharing thoughts with Jaliyah, that young woman is amazing she's beautiful inside & out & she is a strong soul a uniquely wonderful human that I hope to see again & again!!!! This was the absolute worst food I've ever had in Oldsmar! It was our 1st time ordering and we spent almost $100. At first look, the Grinders are lacking in over all quantity of filling. That ends up being kind of a saving grace since the meat it's self is stale, flavorless and burnt. We also got the chicken sandwich which came with over fried and old chicken tenders, wilted lettuce and barely there sauce (that I didn't get to choose). Each sandwich was served on stale bread. Our order of Buffalo shrimp was so soggy the breading was falling off the shrimp and overall unappealing. All of this could have been corrected & they could have had a opportunity for us to return, had the conversation with the owner been less defensive. We were immediately told that the reason our food was not good was because "we picked it up and drove it all the way to Westchase" followed up by "We never have had any complaints about our food when people eat in the restaurant". The conversation proceeded to go back and forth and she (the owner) even accused my son's of having been the "same guys who tried to get free food the night before". Her only offer at the end of a very offensive conversation was 25% our next visit! As if we would ever return! I hope this post allows for the pictures I took, because they pair nicely with this post. Way better than the stale fries did with my overcooked sandwich!
