This is my absolute favorite sandwich place to eat at. I eat there frequently. HOWEVER there is a new employee that is one of the worst in the food industry I’ve seen in some time. He’s as slow as you would expect someone’s first day on the job to be, however it is not because I’ve seen him there for multiple weeks. Ever since I’ve seen him working there the line is MUCH slower. One day the line was as long as I’ve ever seen it there, people were whispering in line about how slow he was and some even walked out. I can forgive someone for being slow occasionally, but he also has the attitude of teenager who thinks the world revolves around them and has no care for anyone else. Carries himself as “I’m too good for this”. He will constantly stop building sandwiches and looks around the store. Just staring at people and not focusing on his job or the customer in front of him. He RUDELY asks customers “what you want” and then doesn’t listen to what they say. I heard one customer repeat he wanted it Mikes way 4 times! He just kept stop looking around then saying “ughhh so what?” He never even looked them in the eye. He carelessly throws ingredients around, he globs on mayo, barely wipes the sandwich building station down when finished. He’s obviously young but he is so far past the point of being “new to the job” that it’s beyond inexcusable anymore. I probably am going to stop eating there because he’s so bad, which makes me sad because I really enjoyed it before this. I have no idea how a manger hasn’t...
Read moreI placed an order for a small office holiday gathering. One of the sandwiches (for a vegetarian) was ordered incorrectly in error and had meat on it. It was meant to be a portobello sub, but was input as a chicken and portobello sub. So we had a full giant sized sub that was not able to be eaten due to dietary restrictions. I asked if we could swap the sandwich (obviously not trying to get over, because we spent a decent amount and only needed ONE correction which I'll definitely commend them on), and the young lady at the register tried to assist and referred me to an older lady who I'm assuming was the manager. She told me with a blank stare, "we made what you ordered...." I then REITERATED it was ordered in error and I had no problem giving it back. She showed zero understanding about the situation. Wouldn't even consider it. Her disposition was rude upon both visits to the store which was a huge turnoff. I don't want anyone preparing my food with an attitude or bad energy. So I won't be returning to this location. We're human at the end of the day, mistakes happen. But the manager of this location doesn't allow human error or offer customer service, so only go if you're a...
Read moreI ordered a sandwich online, and it said there was a 40 minute wait time. No problem. I get there 45 minutes later, and my order doesn’t seem to be ready. I stand in front of the pickup area staring at the old lady at the cashier trying to get her attention. Completely ignores me. I verbally get her attention and ask her about my order. She again completely ignores me while staring me in the eyes. I ask a couple more times to no avail. The other lady that was making sandwiches walks over, but also ignores me. I ask her about my order. She stares at me for a second and then goes back to what she was doing. I have no idea if I’ll ever get my sandwich. I don’t think they ever started it. All I’m asking for when I go get food is that it’s halfway decently cooked and the staff are not overtly rude to me. I guess that’s too much to ask from Jersey Mike’s....
