This past weekend, my family and I decided 2 gather at Mugshots Grill and Bar - Olive Branch, MS

It was a horrible experience. It started out ok UNTIL our server got another party. She completely ignored us for the rest of our dining experience. She stayed at the other table and took pics with the guests, maybe they were her family. Idk, but i will never patronize them again because of the poor treatment we received.

I had previously heard the restaurant is horrible when it comes to people of color. I’ve been a few times and never experienced it until then. We were completely ignored, a few of us never received food and once the food was finally brought out, they said they would take the food off the ticket since we waited so long. Our server spent all her time at other tables and every time we would try to get her attention she would walk right past us and give us an excuse about not being able to hear us because her hearing aides were dead. We waited over 30 mins for shots that another server had to bring us, we waited over 20 mins for lids, to go plates, ranch, etc. We waited for food over 40 mins while the other party received their food before us. (We ordered our food before they were even seated) we got plastic cups because they didn’t have any more clean cups and the party after us received real cups. Which is fine because they prob ain’t washing dishes n Clorox like we do anyway. My wings were poorly tossed in the sauce, most of the wing was still dry. After everyone paid and we were getting ready to leave, the manager and other employees bomb rushed our table saying we were leaving without paying. We all paid and our server knew exactly what we ordered however We never received receipts showing what we paid for. So if anything was left open, it wasn’t because we failed to pay, it’s because the server was so busy trying 2 cater to others while leaving us neglecting us, she obviously left items open on the table. While trying to explain to the manager about our experience, she was very disrespectful and in so many words, called us racist and threatened to call the police. I have never in life been so blatantly disrespected in a restaurant. I will never go back.

It saddens me that people become so stereotypical when it comes to serving us because they think we don’t tip. My folks tip on top of the already added gratuity if u treat of properly. Soooo many servers cheat themselves out of bigger and better tips by mistreating us just because of the color of our skin when in reality WE...

My wife and I decided to try Mugshots tonight because we had heard a lot about and it and because she had been to the one near Jackson, MS and liked it. A few of the reviews for this location were a little disconcerting with patrons talking about long wait times only to be herded in and out like cattle and then fries being greasy. However, we figured we would give it the benefit of the doubt and try it. Unfortunately, many of the reviews were right and this restaurant is not up to par.

Upon arrival, we were told that there would be a 45 minute wait for a party of 2, which was fine considering how long it would have taken to get to another restaurant and eat. However, once we were seated, the entire process felt rushed. After getting our drink order, our server immediately asked if we knew if we wanted an appetizer. Seeing as we hadn’t been there before and then menu was rather large, we needed some time. When we did order our meal, our server’s head was buried in her little tablet and not actually looking at us, but more that later.

Our food literally came out in less than 10 minutes, which is fine, but there were scores of empty tables when we were first seated, so why the ridiculously long wait? My wife ordered the “Comeback” burger but it did anything but made her want to comeback. The burger was very dry because it actually had very little of said “comeback” sauce on it. Nor did have the onion ring on top as advertised. And yes, the fries, though pretty good, were very greasy; a sign of being left in the oil for too long.

Our server brought the check before we were actually finished eating and never asked us if we wanted anything else, as in desert. When we handed her the credit card, she ran it at the table on her little tablet thingy and then waited for us to tip her as she hovered over us like a bird of prey. This was not only awkward but my wife would have likely tipped her more were there not the pre-allotted tip amounts already present on the tablet. So after we paid and tipped, my wife still had nearly a third of her burger left to eat. As she was eating, our server kept pacing back and forth waiting for us to leave. I am sorry, but we waited nearly 45 minutes for this table, you are going to wait on us to finish eating. We will not...

Ok. I am going to start out by saying our experience this time was not like any other time we've been here. Normally, food is great as is the service. This time was not. First, the restaurant was completely dead and had plenty of staff. That was not an issue as many were standing around not doing anything, including the kitchen staff we could see. There was one larger party, but very few others which is unusual for this location. We sat down around 615p. Took Lana, our server, about 5-7 min to even come to the table as she had to buss tables that weren't needed. Once she got there, she took our drink and food order. She came back, and got my drink order wrong. Once we got drinks, we sat. And sat. And sat some more. 45 minutes later, my significant other had to go find Lana (who was bussing tables, again, that weren't needed as no one entered) to request drink refills and ask about our food. We watched her go to the back, and once again saw MANY burgers just sitting on the expo line, but no one running them to tables despite the staff just standing around. At that point, we just left. Maybe it was an off day, but perhaps a manager should have been more attentive.

UPDATE 1/21/23: So the marketing people who responded below asked for an email, right? Great. Thinking we will get some assistance. Turns out you email as requested... NOTHING HAPPENS. literally emailed again yesterday and have gotten NO REPLY. Seems this restaurant has much to learn in all areas...
