The young so called assist manager on duty at 7pm on January 30,2019 was extremely rude. My wife and I was there to see Escape Room, the 7:40pm showing.
Upon entering room for watching the Escape Room, we noticed the room was extremely cold. The current temperature outside is 28°. I went up front to inquire about the air and I was told that the heat is not on and that he didn't think it was cold.
I stated to the assistant manager that the temperature outside is 28°. We were told that the heat would come on after the movie starts at 7:40 pm. The room was very uncomfortable because of the cold weather. The manager did not seem empathetic and displayed no sympathy.
I asked for the manager he stated that he was the manager. I asked for the person in charge and I was told the General Manager Brandy was on vacation. I asked for the General Mansger's email and he never answered my question.
My wife and I asked for our refund and left. I have been going to this theatre since it open no very long ago. Company's should really be caution of who they allow manage their business in their absence. Very rude behavior by a so called leader! Please provide your young managers on customer service and displaying a positive role model figure to your other younger employees, because they are your future leaders. I am very very very extremely disappointed with Malco...
Read moreDisappointing - We who live here waited many years for a movie theater to open. That Indian (as in country) Company said they were going to open one at the current theater site for years. And, Malco had promised one at a different site for a decade, before taking over the current site. So, what we ended up with is definitely disappointing! It has one good auditorium, Number 1. Auditorium 4 is okay, but to me not worth the effort to go to this theater. The rest are unusable. Auditorium 1 is very good! Excellent projection and sound. And, the seating setup is great! But, I just don't get why we got what we did after all that waiting. Couldn't Malco have at least included one more good auditorium? This area has been growing by leaps and bounds. Why restrict this complex? The other issue is the concessions. Man, not good! They have popcorn poppers, but the popcorn is cold and stale. Today, the manager said that she had just made the hot dogs. But, they were lukewarm, at best, and had little to no taste. Plus, the soda was near flat. We in Olive Branch waited quite some time, and...
Read more3 stars for the great seating and (mostly) clean theaters. The stadium seating is nice and the chairs are comfortable. The fact you can butter your own popcorn is a plus as well. Concession prices are always too high and everyone knows it but if you get the large drink and popcorn, you can at least get it refilled as many times as you want. If you have a large group, get one of those and share it. Refill as many times as you can. (Don't forget to refill on your way out the door too).
You lose 1 star for dropping the 3D shows for movies. I really wish you'd bring them back for all shows and not just select shows. Starwars was only available 2 times a day in 3D and I was gouged $3 for the 3D premium which is really excessive.
You blame the fact you cut back on the 3D shows because no one goes, this is why! People will wait for 3D at home now because you overcharge for it. So you lose another star for that. Get rid of the 3D premium and you'll have more people in there for 3D shows. Try it and see...
