Yesterday, my Friends and I shared an Early Lunch at Ophelia's Cup in a Cozy sunlit nook on a Perfect Spring Morning...
We arrived at 10:25 and my Friends had hoped to have Breakfast, but the Kitchen had already Cleared the Breakfast Stage and was already Setting up for Lunch which, to be Honest, We didn't expect...
Nonetheless, We decided to stay and have an Early Lunch... and We all Shared a Wonderful Moment Together.
Ophelia's is just such a Place for Quiet Conversation, with both Intimate and Small Groups that are looking for something a little more Upscale and Refined... but, not so much that it's out of reach if Foresight and Planning are Exercised.
We arrived without Reservations and Unaware of the Kitchen Schedule or Menu... much as anyone that might be New and Unfamiliar with Olney might... and although We may be to blame for Our naïveté, the Staff still managed to Present my Friends with a Nice Meal in a Genteel Setting.
They had both a Sandwich and a Wrap... One had the Kickin' BLT and the Other the California Pita. Each had Potato Chips on the Side and Together They Shared a Hot Tiger Spice Chai.
Since my own Meal Schedule is quite different, I only had Coffee which I had blended from the Carafes across from the Coffee Bar. I did pass along to the Hostess that the Colombian was Empty and She did Offer to make a Fresh Pot, which was a Kind Gesture.
All together, the Bill amounted to just under $30, which if You consider the Unique Setting is Reasonable.

Looked like it had not been vacuumed in days. Two people behind counter. On one table there were dirty dishes from a previous diner. After looking at their menu, I placed my order for the breakfast shoe and coffee. Was told to pick out a cup or mug fron their coffee station and help myself to whichever coffee I wanted. Picked a cup, filled it with coffee and creamer and seated myself. The mug I chose had several small chips on the handle and rim. When I received my order the hash browns were very dark, almost to the point of being burned. I like my hasbrowns crispy but this was beyond crispy on the edges. When I took the fitst bite it tasted as if they were old and looked like they had combined some previously cooked potatoes with fresh ones because some of the potatoes were not even cooked completely. There were red peppers mixed in with the potatoes. These were not fresh peppers, but appeared to be dehydrated ones. The taste was not very appealing. The slice if ham was so thin it was almost transparent. Couldn't really taste the cheese. Their "benny" sauce (which I was told was their take on hollandaise) was not very good and completely ruined the egg. The only saving grace was the endless coffee, which required you to get your own refills. But the price was ok, only $5 for most breakfast orders plus $2 for the coffee. I don't believe I...
Read moreI recently visited Ophelia's Cup and had a delightful dining experience. I ordered the BLT, which was elevated by a flavorful chipotle sauce, adding a nice kick to the classic sandwich. The ingredients were fresh, and the bacon was perfectly crispy. I paired it with a sweet tea, which was refreshing and well-brewed, striking the right balance of sweetness. My daughters ordered the watermelon smoothie and thoroughly enjoyed it. The smoothie was refreshing and full of natural watermelon flavor, making it a perfect treat for a warm day.Overall, Ophelia's Cup offered a cozy atmosphere and excellent food. The service was friendly and efficient, making our visit even more pleasant. I highly recommend it for a casual...
