Hey Scooter's Coffee just opened in Olney Illinois! Let's discuss the reasons my family won't be back. We started by downloading and using the app. After placing our order, which was admittedly easy to do, we drove to the location. Employees with tablets were aimlessly meandering around in the drive-thru. They might help one car, but then skip a car. One employee went from helping a car in the back of the line, to taking a customers order who was already parked at the order speaker. I was very interested in asking one of these employees how to retrieve my online order, but they suddenly stopped helping people (right as 12 noon hit) and retreated inside. Five minutes went by and we found ourselves at the order speaker. I informed the employee I had an online order to which she responded, "scoot on around to the window when you can." Right then and there I should have started searching my car for a moltov cocktail. I won't abide horrible puns unless I'm satisfied with your service. And I'm not. Eventually (before I could reach the window) an employee emerged the back of the building. I flagged her down and asked how I get my online order. Well. You get it at the window of course! App or not you still have to wait in line, speak to someone at the speakerbox, and then wait in line to get to the window. Unless you're a huge fan of having Johnny Scooter track what you order and eat/drink the app is pointless. You can order at the speakerbox and get your food in the same amount of time. And what of the food? Mediocre smoothies and coffees, priced at a premium. My family got 4 medium drinks (an iced coffee, a blended drink, a lemonade and a tea) and a single burrito for a grand total of THIRTY DOLLARS. Read that again. Four drinks and a tiny terrible burrito cost more than entire meals at traditional restaurants. And it took me an unreasonable amount of time to get... Especially given I "ordered ahead" with an app. Last but not least, middling overpriced drinks aside, the breakfast burrito was in a sealed microwave safe pouch akin to something you might get at a gas station. It's clearly just a tiny frozen breakfast burrito with special branding on the outside. It tasted terrible but at least it was three times the cost of better burritos at other restaurants. Avoid this place if you value money, quality,...
Read moreReally wanted to like this shop, my partner and friends were so excited for it- But it’s kind of awful? Way, way over priced for portions that are honestly laughable for said price (even vs the always pricey Starbucks) Not to mention that the coffee and flavors were just kinda bad?? The coffee itself has no unique or quality taste to it, anlmost stale or burnt, and despite having the same sugar/cream ratios my partners coffee was also definitely (and visibly) made incorrectly. The app is awful to use and the drive through wasn’t much better, even on the day we went, early without a line. I’d definitely suggest going to the other shop in town or heading to Effingham or Vincennes, don’t waste your money on a coffee your gonna have to salvage with your own brew when you...
Read moreSeems this place is being ran by children, employees are down right rude to their customers. Management is a joke, you write a report and they never get back to you. Management only hires children and people who don't know how to use common respect. Employees get down right nasty towards customers and expect that nothing will happen to them cause their Management is a joke. Seems like they need to shut the store down and take a couple days of training and learning how to use customer service correctly. Do better. I wouldn't recommend going here if you don't want to deal with horrible environment. And employees who slam windows in customers faces when a customer is trying to elaborate a drink. Honestly ophelias would be a better option until...
